Großes Studio in einer ruhigen privaten Residenz. Holen Sie sich weg von den Massen und Eigentumswohnungen Komplexe und entspannen. Die Wohnung (77-6561 Alii Drive) ist über die Straße vom Meer entfernt, auf einem alten Lavastrom. Es ist etwa fünf Meter über der Strandstraße mit einem wunderschönen Blick auf das Meer mit den Klängen der Brandung. Es verfügt über eine semi-private Auffahrt mit ausreichend Privat offstreet Parkplatz. White Sands Beach und Kahalu'u Schnorchel Strand: Es ist zwischen den zwei beliebtesten Strände von Kailua-Kona entfernt.
Surfen, Boogie-Board, Schnorcheln oder einfach nur "Kickback" an einem dieser wunderschönen Stränden. Beide sind in fußläufiger Entfernung von ein paar Blocks. Jogging und Radfahren sind auch sehr beliebt auf Alii Drive, da diese Strecke von der Straße ist die Heimat der Ironman Triathalon Ereignis findet jeden Oktober.
Es gibt eine private Veranda mit Tisch und Stühlen mit Grill. Im Hinterhof befindet sich ein Pool mit Tisch und Stühlen und Chaiselongues für Ihre Freizeit.

12 years later and it still feels like home

The Mrs and I last stayed at Gary's studio 12 years ago and life finally permitted us to visit the studio a 3rd time we jumped at the opportunity.The studio has had some minor changes but they were all for the best. Nothing was missing, as usual. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Excellent property location. And an owner that wants to make your stay as trouble-free as possible.If you can stay here, please do. You won't be disappointed. You have great snorkeling just a few blocks south. You have Magic Sands for body surfing or just enjoying the afternoon sunsets. You have Magic Sands Grill restaurant that has truly blossomed and is a great addition to the neighborhood.Thank you Gary for being such a gracious host. You have a true gem. If we can head out back to the Big Isle in the near future we'll reach out again. Hopefully things will pan out for everybody.A deep-felt Mahalo for another memorable stay.Jeremi and Leticia

Great location, all you need!

This studio is equipped with everything you could possibly need and the location is superb, between a great snorkelling beach and a big wave boogie boarding beach. The owner is super helpful. Loved our stay - couldn't have been better!

Very Satisfied

The place is nice, clean, and has everything you need. Besides for the nightly one hour music rock and roll session from the person upstairs, it's very quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

The Studio Is Just right for our family

It feels like home and has everything you could need for cooking and relaxing. We used every "toy" in the laundry room (snorkeling gear, boogie board, towels, cooler, beach chair....)

A true gem!

This place has raised the bar on vacation rentals for us! It was very clean upon check-in and incredibly well stocked. The hosts, Gary and Sally, were super nice and after staying there about 10 weeks, we now consider them friends. We learned a lot about the area from Gary and Sally and they really made us feel the Aloha. We would highly recommend their ohana as a place to visit.

Wow! Perfect host, perfect view, perfect stay.

Gary was so helpful and he supplied everything you can think of to make sure his guests are comfortable. There is a close in ocean view right from the private lanai and nicely set up for barbecuing while watching the most incredible sunsets. The location is close to everything from snorkeling to restaurants and shopping. The kitchen is easy to cook in and the bed is like a cloud. Fantastic!

Stay here!

This studio was exactly as described! Everything we needed or wanted was provided. Gary is an amazing host that is very friendly and knowledgeable! Definitely check out the Big Island guide he provides! We were not first timers to the island and found this very useful! If you want to bring a few swimsuits and change of clothes, everything else is here. We will stay here for our next visit!

Lifelong memories

We had an amazing trip to Hawaii lasting two weeks. As much as the island gave us an unforgettable experience - Gary was a massive part of that. We can’t thank Gary enough for all his help and advice, we would highly recommend staying here. The property was fully equipped with all the amenities we needed and more. It is set in a lovely location just off of Ali’i Drive, perfect for catching some amazing sunsets. We will definitely be visiting again! Mahalo!

Piece of Paradise

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay - Gary met me upon arrival and gave me a tour of the property and all the lovely amenities - lots of beach gear that I put great use to at the nearby snorkel beach, magic sands beach and other spots up north. Loved the view of flora and ocean, and the side patio where I ate and the close line with flip flop clips (cute). The pool looked very inviting but I spent all my time at the ocean. The bed was super comfortable, and the towels were fluffy and soft. Kitchen was stocked with all sorts of essentials. Wish I had more time to stay - it truly felt like a piece of paradise, Mahalo to these wonderful hosts.

Exactly what we wanted for our Holiday

My wife and I stayed here for our recent vacation. Beaches were within walking distance as advertised and we used them every day for snorkeling and sunsets. Kona was close by but not to close and access to the rest of the island from this location worked well for us. The accomodations were great, clean, bright and fully stocked with everything we needed, We used the snorkle gear, ice box, beach chairs, noodle as well as the washer, dryer. We arrived late at night and Gary made sure we had good directions to find the studio. The keys were left inside the lock box as he said they would. We hope to be able to visit again sometime soon. We recommend this rental to anybody that might want to stay in Kona. Mahalo!

Home away from home

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful studio. We loved the ideal location and ocean view. It has updated modern Hawaiian bedding and decor. We loved that it was super clean inside & out and fully stocked with everything one might need in the kitchen & bath. We were able to walk to the beach and made full use of the boogie boards, picnic coolers and beach towels that are provided. My little one made himself at home with use of the TV/DVD player after a long day at the beach. We also enjoyed the clean pool, barbecue grill and patio seating in the backyard. Having access to a washer and dryer on site was really convenient too. The owners have thought of everything and are very helpful. We highly recommend this studio and would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great location and amenities!

This was a perfect place for my husband, daughter who is 15 and myself. Easy access getting in. We didn't want the condo life so this was our own perfect home for 10 days! I was surprised to know it was quiet. It's conveniently located right off the main and popular Ali'i road so thought it would be noisier, but it wasn't at all! It was clean and had full kitchen which we used for lots of meals. The kitchen had everything we needed. The bathroom was big and had a lot of toiletries and more. Plenty of bath towels. Gary thought of everything! The bed was very comfortable and I loved the sheets! Our daughter slept on the couch that folded out flat. Sheets were provided and pillow cases. We had acess to a storage unit that had lots of snorkel gear even some water shoes! 2 boogie boards, chair's, coolers and beach towels. Also able to use washer and dryer. There was lots of information provided about beaches and restaurants near by. Gary checked in with us during our stay. We would stay here again!

Perfect for a couples getaway

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We felt welcomed right away. After our long flight I was relieved to find many comforts in the studio. There were complimentary drinks in the fridge, a working air conditioner, and I was very grateful for the comfortable bed. The bed has a pillow topper and it made me so happy as I am a picky sleeper. The kitchen and bathroom is fully equipped with anything you might need. Gary, the owner, was very kind and accommodating. He gave us some great tips for things to do and info about beaches we were headed to. It was as described in the listing and we would definitely stay there again. Thanks, Gary!

Fabulous place to stay!!

We had an amazing time. Gary has carefully ensured that everything you might need for your stay is available: towels, beach towels, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, coolers, washer/dryer, beach chairs, etc....The unit is great and also has everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom. Ocean view and location are spectacular as well!! We had a blast!!

This Place Is GOLD

We have now stayed at 6 places across Kauai, Maui and the Big Island, and this rental stands at a tie for #1. We had zero issues or complaints, and loved it. While the studio isn't inside downtown Kona, this was a perk for us, being a 15 minute drive away, we avoided higher rental costs and most of all the constant tourists like us! The studio literally has an ocean view as advertised. The unit is attached/on the bottom floor of the home, and the whole property is elevated above street level with a traditional lava rock wall between the ground level of the property and the busy street below, which means you don't have to deal with any loud traffic and you are perched high up to get a straight line view of the ocean on the other side of the street, especially because this is one spot with no ocean front development directly across from this home. You can hear the ocean waves, especially at night which I found soothing. The weather here, even in "winter" as we stayed for nearly 2 weeks through xmas and new years was warm and rain free. It benefits from typical Kona weather while also having the peace and quiet around you to enjoy the sights and sounds. Your biggest noise problem may be a bird at sunrise that decides he wants to squak outside your window lol. A 5 minute drive away brings you to delicious food vendors, everything from Hawaiian fast food plate lunches to higher end restaurants of various cultures, and a large KTA grocery store and drug store, medical services, etc. We walked to this area a couple times for exercise and it takes about 23 minutes if you are a fast walker. Nearby are two nice beaches, both have snorkelling, one has black sand, the other has white sand. Snorkelling was great, especially at nearby Kahaluu Beach Park. Magic Sands Beach Park (aka White Sands Beach) is even closer in walking distance. The location of this studio really is great. You feel more like a local because you are surrounded by them. Gary the owner is very friendly and gives you all the space you could want and also willing to chat if that's what you're up for when hanging around the yard. There is a pool out back but we used the ocean instead. The pool did look inviting though. Inside the studio, you are provided with literally everything you could need. Not only kitchen and functional stuff, but supplies as well, everything you could possibly need. Clean, beautiful, functional, comfortable, endless positives. Thank you so much Gary! Awesome place to stay!

We loved our stay! The place felt quite spacious for a studio. Gary has supplied the place with everything and more you can think you would need including boogie boards, snorkel supplies, and bathroom supplies. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies and excellent cookware. The location is beautiful with a nice ocean view and walking distance to magic sands and an awesome snorkel spot the opposite direction. The studio is nice and feels very private and separate than the main home with a complete separate entrance and lanai and Gary was very quick to respond anytime we had any questions. Highly recommend!

Perfect ohana

We have just left our place on Ali’i Drive where we stayed for two blissful weeks. Large studio with a “bedroom” area, “living room” area, dining area & very well-equipped kitchen, big bathroom and wonderful lanai. Very private!! Two blocks (easy walk) to Magic/White Sands for morning or afternoon swim, four blocks (easy walk) yo Kahaluu for snorkeling, and one mile to a terrific shopping center with groceries, dining, movies, and more. We didn’t use the above ground pool, but took full advantage of the complimentary beach chairs, snorkel equipment, beach towels and reef shoes. Just perfect. Beautifully landscaped, great location, view of the sea across the street through tropical trees (and phone wires). The owner even brought us some ono homemade cinnamon panna cotta. Don’t let him off the hook for that if you stay here!😉 But seriously, wonderful, marvelous, bliss. Mahalo nui, Gary!🕊

Studio is close to many activities, shopping and restaurants. Everything you need is included. From q-tips to water toys. Having laundry on-site was also a huge convenience.

Wonderful, relaxing location and space!

Loved the studio! Location is great to get around the Island, while still being able to walk to a sandy beach! The trolley runs along the street below which takes you to a more tourist area. The Studio is quiet, clean, and everything you need for a great vacation. Towels, snorkeling gear and beach chairs are available. Having a washing machine and dryer meant we could bring less clothes! Gary, our host was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Great vacation place! Would highly recommend!

Vacant lot was initially purchased in 1984. Our home was built on the property in 1991 with a downstairs studio which is completely separate and private from the main residence.
