Wir begrüßen Sie in unserer schönen Suite in einer ruhigen Wohngegend in Dunbar. Unser Haus hat einfachen Zugang zu UBC, mit West 16. Ave. Bus nur 4 Blocks entfernt. Wir sind zu Fuß zu Lebensmittelgeschäften, Spirituosengeschäft, Restaurants, Banken und Cafés. Das Stiftungsland befindet sich ebenfalls in der Nähe und ist ein perfekter Ort zum Spazierengehen oder Radfahren.
Die Suite ist sehr komfortabel eingerichtet und verfügt über ein Queensize-Bett in jedem Schlafzimmer. Das Sofa im Hauptwohnbereich ist ein großartiger Ort für einen zusätzlichen Gast.
Bitte beachten Sie, dass es sich um eine Suite im Erdgeschoss eines Hauses handelt. Obwohl das Haus gut isoliert ist, kann es sein, dass im Obergeschoss ein Geräusch zu hören ist.

Super clean and really nice! Not sure why the ad price is in US$. Felt ripped off after I paid CDN$

This was a great place. It was so clean and well taken care of. My only gripe is that they posted the price in Amercian dollars. They are located in Canada obviously. So it seemed I was getting a good deal until I went to pay and realized they converted the currency. It felt kind of weird to me. They're located in Canada. Why wouldn't the advertised price also be in Canadian dollars?

Nice little suite close to UBC

We stayed for 2 days and this was a great location for visiting a family member who is going to UBC. The suite was decorated with some really unusual furniture and had everything we needed. The description says it is ground level (but is is basement) and it would be nice to have some bedside lamps to read with at night.

This is a basement apartment, and although interestingly decorated and spacious, it was a bit stuffy and damp. We arrived on a rainy day, so perhaps that had something to do with it. There was no place to sit outside so we felt a bit "cooped up". Future guests should keep this in mind. The apartment itself was very spacious with two large bedrooms and a very large living/kitchen area, which met our needs very well. Location was close and convenient for UBC as well. Beds were very comfortable. Dunbar area of Vancouver has limited shops and restaurants so we found ourselves driving to Kitsalanos for shopping and dining. If I had to do it over again, I'd have found accommodations in Kitsalano, which is far more vibrant and closer to a beach, while no further away from UBC (No reflection on the hosts of this home, but an observation).

Everything was fabulously located for our daughters wedding at the Brock House in the Jericho beach area. Our only concern is that Joelly found the throw that we didn’t have at the house upon arriving.

Awesome west side VRBO

We had a wonderful time at this property. It was clean, well stocked, and a great place to stay and walk with our dogs. Joelly was very attentive and the entire experience was just perfect.

Great place!

We had such a lovely stay at this great little place. It was an ideal location for transit and getting to UBC and in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Our only recommendation would be to update the linens. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful Location!

We had a great stay at this property! It’s located on a beautiful street, close to a few restaurants and stores and just a hop, skip and a jump from shopping areas. The apartment is cozy with only minimal noise could be heard from above. We brought our two year old son and he loved the toys and books they made available! I would recommend Joelly to anyone staying in Vancouver!

Great location, pet friendly

I stayed for 3 nights with my daughter and her dog. Everyone was great. The location is in a quiet residential area, but you can walk to shops, a good Italian restaurant and a coffee place in 5-6 minutes through the neighborhood. Parking was never an issue. It is a basement suite, so you will hear people up in the main house. There are also stairs to navigate to get in, if that's an issue. The owners were very friendly and helpful.

Amazing hosts! Very helpful and super friendly and caring.

We could not have been happier staying at this vrbo, everything was amazing. We found the unit quiet and noticed the same amount of noise you would expect from an apartment or a hotel. The space itself is decorated beautifully and the beds were extremely comfortable. It was meticulously clean, and the location was perfect for our needs. We rented a car and had ample parking outside the house. We had a conference at UBC which was easy and fast to get to and had dinners downtown which was also very close. On our down days we spent time at kits beach which was only a 5 minute drive. There is a cute village street with many shops, cafes, a grocery store and liquor store within walking distance. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Great neighbourhood, but.....

The basement suite is large and has great light and is in a fantastic location. That being said, it is a basement suite in need of insulation between main floor and basement. Often there is a lot of foot traffic overhead, especially when owners entertain, and a dog that gets excited with newcomers.

Highly Recommend

We stayed here early January 2019, to visit UBC Vancouver. It was perfectly located, just a short drive away. the neighborhood is beautiful, safe and quiet. although the apt is in the basement of the owners home it is quite private and accessible. the apt was clean and had everything we needed (though we didn't really cook there because we didn't want to miss all the great ramen and seafood in Vancouver). I would say you do need a car, though everything is pretty close (downtown is 15 min drive, UBC Vancouver less than 10). Owner was very accommodating and made things quite easy. thank you!

Cozy apartment in the suburbs

My wife and I enjoyed our stay here. It was very clean, comfortable and only about an 8 minute walk to the bus stop which goes downtown. A couple things to note that wasn't obvious when we booked: - You are in the basement of a house. You have your own private entrance in the back of the house but was a little awkward wandering around, trying to find the entrance. - There is a family above you and occasionally it was a bit noisy. Nothing horrible but lots of foot steps and whatnot. - The heating/AC is tied to the rest of the house. We found it a bit warm for our tastes and the only easily opened window was out in the living room. It wasn't terrible but just something to be aware of. As long as the above doesn't bother you I'd definitely recommend the place!

comfortable and convenient

I stayed in this suite while moving my daughter back to UBC to start the school year. The suite is very roomy and comfortable. The sitting area is spacious, and the kitchen is well stocked. The beds are comfortable, and all of the areas are clean and nicely decorated. The location is pretty convenient to UBC, about a 10 minute drive through the park, as well as convenient to the rest of Vancouver. The owner was very responsive to queries, getting back to me within a few hours. The only minor drawback is that the suite is a daylight basement suite in the owner's house, so you can hear the family upstairs in the morning, but it was muffled and not a big inconvenience. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely apartment

Great location and a beautiful neighbourhood. Our only complaint would be the lack of a comfortable place to sit/sleep in the living room. The beds were very comfy. The apartment was very clean.

Great place to stay.

This place was fresh, clean and comfortable with interesting furnishings. Just a point to note for those with mobility issues, this suite is on the lower level of the house so there is an outside staircase to get to the entrance.

Great Suite, Quiet Location

We really enjoyed our stay! Our hosts were very accommodating and responsive. They were really quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had. The suite, although it is a basement has high ceilings and is nice and bright. It is a very quiet neighbourhood with plenty of street parking. The bed was comfortable and lots of towels were available. The kitchen was well equipped.

Great location, good value for the money

I stayed in this suite for eight nights. The apartment is very clean and the location is excellent, particularly if you want to be reasonably close to UBC. It’s just a few minutes drive to anything you need, and you can walk to some businesses. The neighborhood is quiet and there is ample street parking if you have a vehicle. The beds are comfortable. For most of the time I was here my daughter (UBC student) and her roommate stayed with me. It was fine for three adults. The owner was very responsive.

A definite gem!

Due to the kindness and empathy shown by the homeowner, our fantastic stay started prior to our arrival. Travelling with two children with special needs is stressful enough, let alone when travelling for compassionate reasons. The suite was very well designed with large open spaces and beautiful mouldings throughout. The beds were extremely comfortable. When boasting to friends, they remarked that it was if we were staying in our own home rather than staying in a stale hotel room. I can’t say enough about this vacation rental.
