We're from Scottsdale, AZ, we were in Lebec, CA, to participate in the "Tough Mudder" that was held there. The property itself was nice. I do have some feedback and info that would have appreciated before booking.
When renting a VRBO, I expect the property owner to provide items that I have at home. With that said...
This property lacked an adequate amount of bath towels (my husband and I had to share a towel and so did our friends). The bath mats, towels and a comforter were still in the dryer when we arrived. The kitchen wasn't restocked (many of spices were empty / no zip lock bags etc.. ) and lacked adequate cookware (we planned on baking a pasta dish and a cake, but the kitchen only had 1 metal cake pan). ALL the laundry detergent containers were empty, so we had to buy a small container on our way back from the TOUGH MUDDER (we didn't want to travel home with dirty clothes). Also, the bathrooms didn't have blowdryers and remotes were missing batteries. . (we watched the Olympics on our phone)
After traveling all day, the last thing any of us wanted to do was drive down the mountain, into town and try to purchase items that are normally provided with the vacation rental.
We would've appreciated a welcome letter, with suggestions of the owners favorite restaurants, any local attractions of area we should know about and detailed instructions of pertinent info ie; how to operate TV, AC units (if any), wifi info, etc etc. and check out info.
All in all the property was good. However, a little attention to details would have made it great!
