50th birthday trip
This apartment was picked because of its location with 3 bedrooms and 4 shower rooms for 3 women celebrating a fiftieth birthday.
We took the train from the airport to Fuengirola. Just tap your card to enter the station and tap again to leave your destination station. Took about 40 minutes and less than 3 euros each.
After the train journey we had to walk about 6 minutes to find the building with a key lock on outside which held the key that would let you into the apartment building. Very odd. And a little bit annoying.
We then walked to the accommodation. We were met at the door by the lovely cleaners and the plumber. The plumber said (through google translate) he was fixing the hot water. The cleaners let us leave our bags and get changed in 1 room. We returned at 3 as advised in the advert. The cleaners had left us a note they were new and couldn’t locate the bedding and had gone to find some. They finished at 5.30.
On the first floor was open plan kitchen, living room, 2 en-suite bedrooms and a small balcony. Up the spiral staircase was another en-suite bedroom, a plunge pool, another shower room, toilet, tables chairs and a bbq.
Unfortunately, only 1 of the bathrooms had hot water. We were told it was usual in that building. The pool was filthy but the pool is only used in the summer.
I think the management company misrepresented this rental. However, we would still have booked. And we would be happy to return. The price is great. Just update your information!
