The house has a pefect location in the midst of green far off from any hazzle. Still it takes only some 20 minutes to Kerkyra town and to the sea. It's all quiet and relaxing and hence fit for anybody seeking relaxation and peace. With great kitchen, large living room, 2 bedrooms and a nice pool nothing is amiss. From that Lemon tree Villa can be recommended without any reservations. I would call it an insider tip.
My partner and I stayed at the Lemon Tree Villa for 9 days. We were looking for a holiday where we could relax and get away from the stresses of work back in the UK. The villa and Corfu provided us with just what we were after.
The villa, nestled on a small hillside about 15-20 minute drive from Corfu Town with mountain views was perfect. It had everything we needed for a self catered holiday. The outside area with the pool is lovely and we spent many an afternoon lazing around the pool after a morning exploring the island. The area is very quiet and peaceful and the villa, especially the pool area is not overlooked in the slightest.
Tony and Barbara were extremely helpful. Tony gave us lots of advice of where to eat and where to visit and also offered us the use of his corfu map and guide book.
They are located just down the track so are on hand if you need them and very friendly. We joined them for a drink at their house on our last afternoon to say goodbye and thank you.
The location of the villa means that you are in a perfect location to visit pretty much anywhere on the island. Me and my partner mainly explored the north of the island. Although the very northern area around Sidari is very touristy. We just didn't have time to do and see everything so we'll be back to explorer the rest another year!
Sandy beaches on the west and pebble beaches on the east. We hired a boat on the east coast for 50 euro plus fuel. Palekas is lovely, great place to watch the sunset in the evening. Corfu town is great for shopping and in the evening to walk along the small pebbled streets.
Poppy's Taverna just 5 min drive down the road is excellent quality and very very cheap. There is a leaflet in the villa and Tony will give directions if needed.
Overall I would highly recommend this villa and I would certainly be happy to return another time. A car is definitely a must due to the location of the villa but also so you can explore and experience the true Corfu!
My only recommendation would be to introduce a guest book for people to right recommendations, experiences etc. I love going to a new villa and having a read of where people recommend.
Thanks once again for a fantastic holiday.

This is a fantastic villa. In short, a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing place to stay, but close enough to amenities and activities to suit all tastes. The location is great for people who do not want to be in the middle of the tourist zone. It’s just 20 minutes easy drive west from Corfu Town, in a very beautiful, and less developed area. The small, nearby, town of Pelekas (about 10 minutes drive) was a particular good find. Great tavernas and local shops and a really nice sandy beach where you can hire sun loungers for one euro a day! For those who like walking, there are lots of local walks you can do straight from the villa with well-marked tracks. But I would say you do need a car to stay here.
The villa itself is modern and spacious - the photos don’t really do it justice as it has wonderful high, wooden beamed, ceilings, which give the place an airy and open feel. It’s kitted out with pretty much everything you need to self-cater - fully stocked kitchen and facilities to do your laundry. There are also kind touches, such as beach towels, and a change of bedding/linen every few days. The outside patio area is really lovely. The pool is completely private and we spent many an hour lounging in or around it after a day’s hiking. Some reviewers mentioned the horse flies, but we did not see any near the villa.
Barbara and Tony who manage the villa on-site are extremely helpful. They are close enough to help out if needed, but leave you in peace if that’s what you wish. We stayed for a week in early September and were very sad to leave. Overall would recommend this to friends and family, and if we return to Corfu we would definitely stay at Lemon Tree Villa again.
We have for the last ten years been to various villas as a family of 4 and found this villa well appointed with a great location. The kids loved the pool and the five minute drive to the water park!. We loved the short drive from the airport and the convenience of local shops and supermarkets. We feel a car is essential to make visiting the lovely beaches nearby a must as well as Corfu Town which is only a twenty minute drive away and a must see location.
The villa was well equipped , exceptionally clean and very well maintained by which is the main reason this has been our second 2 week holiday in as many years.
We would very much like to thank Tony and Barbara who do a fantastic job of managing the villa and also making us feel if we needed anything we just needed to ask which is great comfort.
our family of 5 stayed here in August 2011 and had a wonderful week. the villa was delightful, clean, comfortable, modern and in such a peaceful location. We loved swimming in the pool surrounded by olive trees, watching swallows circling overhead. the villa is set up into the hills but is only a few moments from the main road, giving easy to access to the whole island. Tony and Barbara who look after the property are extremely helpful and considerate. my only small quibbles are that the owner states there are beach towels, which we didn't have-maybe it just means they don't mind you using the bath towels at the beach, which is what we did...also the spare beds in the living room are extremely comfortable as beds, but less useful as sofas due to their depth. All in all we loved being there and found the villa very much as displayed on the website- we would definitely consider booking again.
We spent a lovely 3 weeks in the villa last summer. The villa was exactly as described and our kids loved the pool and hammock. Tony and Barbara, who looked after the cleaning and pool were very friendly and most helpful. The only negative for us was that walking to the local village was difficult in the dark with a buggy-so a car is definately recommended.
