Beautiful Country Property set on 3 acres of manicured grounds. Guests have full use of completely separate private guest wing, opening onto sunny decks with magnificent country views.
Drive through tree lined driveway to private parking at the front entrance, relax and enjoy.
Walking distance to the famous Matakana Village, market, theatre complex, wonderful restaurants, and just a short drive to beaches and vineyards.
Owners have accomodation at the opposite end of the property, and are available if needed.

Beautiful location

Beautiful setting, the rooms are part of the owners dwelling which we did not realise (may not have read listing correctly) stunning location, a shame the living areas do not take in the view. Hiccups on arrival but sorted promptly thank you

Read between the lines... lovely but.....

Please note: “read between the lines” if you are booking this property. We would like the owners to pay attention to the wording in their property description as what was advertised did not match the property. We arrived for a lovely weekend between friends and were astonished to find that there was no lounge or kitchen and that both dining areas were outside. One of the decks was adjacent to the owners lounge which meant they needed to pull the curtains for privacy. It was very awkward. The accommodation was adequate, however tired, and not clean - there was mould in both bedrooms, especially on the windows. The gardens are overgrown and need attention. The owners left us a lovely bottle of wine and did refund the cleaning fee due to the mould on the windows. If the owners paid attention to the concerns, the accommodation would be more suited to people that only require a shower and bed for a wedding for example. You can only realistically dine outside during the summer.

Summer visit.

We had a lovely visit. Very easy property manager and prompt with communication. The lack of a lounge or proper kitchen needs to be heralded more clearly. It would be a property I would come back to if it had one. Also the listing says walkable to Matakana and then doesn't have any information about how to get there.

Lyn and Bob retired from Auckland 3 years ago, and love sharing their beautiful property with guests. You will love the quiet atmosphere, relaxing with a coffee in the morning sun, listening to the amazing bird life. The “Secret Garden” is a lovely sunny spot also for a glass of late afternoon wine - perhaps purchased from many of the local vineyards.
Complimentary bottle of local wine on arrival.

No 4 is quiet and secluded, very close to all amenities that Matakana has to offer, from village life to beaches for surfing, swimming and diving. Easy boat taxi ride to Kawau for fish and chips at the Kawau Yacht Club!

Drive straight to the front entrance, property is completely flat inside and out with no stairs. All day sun, plenty of lawn for relaxing in the outdoor bean bags.
Amazingly only approximately 50 minutes from Central Auckland.
