Lovely place to stay and visit
My husband and I had a lovely time, the cottage was lovely and well equipped with all your needs on hand, the couple who run the property Wayne and his wife, and their dog Lucy who is happy to meet you at the cottage our three dogs had a wonderfull time, we will certainly be back Sharon and Colin Fox from Seymour
Cosy and Comfortable
The peace, the quiet, the serenity! Gorgeous cottage, property and people. Shirley and Wayne made us feel so welcome it was like coming home. Nothing beats the sound of rain on a tin roof or the crackle of a campfire. Best of all was being able to take our dog who had so much fun playing and running around with Lucy.
We will definitely be back!!
Nick and Jo...we were delighted that you enjoyed your time here ..as the weather was not very kind to you. Loved the goodies you cooked up and the way you got into the bush 'feel' of our property.
A good time was had by all.
Beautiful surroundings a great place to explore and exercise our dog. Our hosts were excellent and very informative about the area they live in.
Awesome great accommodation
The overall location was excellent and the host Wayne was welcoming. However, we were extremely disappointed when we came up the property driveway to discover that the 'cottage' was located within the garden of the adjacent main house, essentially a close by granny flat ..... The 'cottage' looked and felt like a caravan park cabin, extremely small, uncomfortable lounge seating, within the small combined Kitchen, eating and TV/lounge area. Overall the interior was very tired and drab. Come away thoughts ... too expensive for staying in a granny flat in someones backyard.
We think that guests should carefully read property descriptions before booking....so that they know what they should expect. Our listing does not make claims that the cottage is spacious... nor do we hide the fact that it is located on our home property.......albeit on 40 acres of bushland surrounded by a National Park...hardly a "backyard"! As regards value...we do not charge extra for dogs...which if house trained are free to go inside. Compare that with the nightly cost of kenelling. As to the disparagement of feeling like a caravan park cabin...well, there you WILL have close neighbors....and you won't have your dog with you.
Had a great time
Our son had a great time there running around the garden and playing with the friendly dog. It is the perfect place to unwind from city life.
