Das luxuriöse Bad ist ausgestattet mit Powerdusche und eine freistehende Badewanne. Separates Gäste WC. Hochstuhl, Reisebett und Spielzeug sind vorhanden. Kinder sind herzlich willkommen. Babysitting wird angeboten. Waschküche und Skiraum im Keller. Ein Aldi Supermarkt ist zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Bushaltestelle für die Orts-und Skibusse ist vor der Haustüre. Parken im Hof.
Hello! I'm Suzanne. I'm British and grew up in Berkshire and when taking a break from my rat-race proper career in London ten years ago, I ended up visiting friends who run the Local Cure Irish Bar in Garmisch for a few months skiing and boarding. Like most people who intend on visiting Garmisch for a short break, I got hooked on the place and ended up staying! Garmisch not only has great mountains, skiing and everything you could wish for in terms of outdoor activites, it is also a really nice place to live- there's a good mix of locals and international residents who have moved here.
This autumn, I have just relocated back to Brighton, so that my son can go to school in the UK and grow up near family. We will be going back to Garmisch at every available opportunity though and I am lucky to have a great manager, Silke Saller, looking after the property and greeting guests in my absence.
Although I am now not always on site, after 10 years of being based in Garmisch, I still really want to help people make the most of their stay to the local area and really welcome enquiries about the area and planning your stay- such as how to organise a surprise paragliding flight that will land in view of the house, to recommend an english ( or german) speaking babysitter, how to hire a horse-drawn carriage for those special occasions! Just ask!

I used to be a property developer in Brighton- and couldn't believe it when the Garmisch estate agent showed me what is now The Meadow House. A building with potentially the best view in Garmisch- directly on the meadows, with no future worries about anyone building in front of the house as it is zoned farmland, great off-road parking and it was a scruffy disused office building and warehouse with bars on the very small windows! What a waste!
Once the planning permission had been granted to turn the building into three luxury apartments, I couldn't wait to get started. Working with a well-respected local carpenter, we raised the roof in November 2010 to create the new all wood Loft apartment, knocked all the bars off the windows and put as much glass on the picture postcard view side as possible, adding a huge wooden balcony and terrace.
We welcomed our first guests in the summer of 2011- and since then have had many repeat visitors which has been lovely.
We really have had some truly lovely families and groups of people staying from all over the world, from the UK, Australia, Canada, Korea, the USA, Mexico, Egypt, Palestine, UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, Italy, Germany, Turkey, The Netherlands,France, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Portugal and Spain- Garmisch really is an international destination!
The house was very nice and clean and Suzanne Mayhew was very nice with us with the gorgeous views and peaceful place and it deserves the rental.
We stayed in the balcony apartment (2 families - 4 adults, 3 teenagers). Spacious comfortable rooms, well furnished, excellent showers. Great apartment for self catering. Owners friendly, approachable and easily contactable. Beautiful views from the balcony. Good storage facilities for ski gear/equipment. Accessible to ski slopes and amenities. Recommend car to explore other areas for skiing. Beside a busy road but were not disturbed by any noise from traffic. Would highly recommend this accommodation and would definitely stay here again.
Lovely Place, we really enjoyed our stay here. Suzanne was great to work with and we explored the surrounding area from this great home base. Kitchen and living space is great for families. We traveled with 2 young children (1 and 3 years old) and everything we needed was here. Thanks so much!
There was absolutely nothing not to love about this apartment. The booking process with Suzanne was great and she couldn't have been anymore helpful, providing us information on what activities we could do in Garmisch and where were the best places to eat etc.
On arrival, we were blown away by the view from the balcony - it's worth paying that little bit extra for it. You have the Zugspitz straight ahead of you and views of the Alpspitz and Kreuzeck to your left. The cable cars for the latter two are a 10 minute walk away and Garmisch itself is about a half hour walk up the cycle path.
The three bedrooms are spacious and the living room and open plan kitchen was modern and had everything in it we needed. Two full bathrooms and a toilet, all immaculate and modern. Great base to visit Innsbruck, Salzburg, Munich and King Ludwig's castles as well as having the opportunity to do some fantastic mountain walks. We were spoiled for choice with things to do. There is a wonderful supermarket about a mile away back towards Grainau but also plenty of lovely restaurants to try.

We recently stayed at the balcony apartment and had another lovely stay. This is our second time staying here and absolutely love this house. The views from the porch are just breathtaking and the house and all the ammenties are just perfect. Can't say a bad thing about this place, can't wait to go back.
We stayed in this apartment for four nights in September of 2012. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 4 children and the apartment was more than ample for our needs. It was very clean, well maintained, and nicely decorated. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. Free cable tv, wifi, and parking were included. The location was ideal. And the views were breathtaking, absolutely stunning! I definitely recommend this apartment if you're looking for an affordable place to stay in Garmisch!

. To confirm a booking a 50% non-refundable deposit must be made. The balance plus the city taxes is due 2 months before arrival. If cancellations are made after 60 days before arrival we are only able to refund the city taxes- unless we are able to re-let the apartment. We suggest that guests take out a travel cancellation policy to cover them in event of unforeseen cancellations.
The rental rates are based on 6 people sharing the apartment. For each additional person- up to a maximum of 11 people- there is an additional 15 euro per person per night fee.
Each adult in Garmisch must pay an additional 2 Euro per day city tax to the council. It is one euro for children aged 6-16, children 6 and go free.
There is a one-off 60 euro additional cleaning charge.
