The property was lovely. The owners live on site and greeted us but never desturbed us. There was a lovely pack of information about the WIFI and things to do in the area as well as a local map., so we felt welcome. The cottage made a lovely peaceful retreat and I felt very at home.
The views were lovely.
Thank you so much for writing a review of your stay. We were pleased that you enjoyed the cottage and the surrounding area. We wish you all the best for the future.
In need of an update
Lovely host .. the cottage was located in a very lovely place my one critisism would be that the sofa and chair were very uncomfortable and on a rainy day difficult to make ourselves comfortable .
Thank you for your comments. In response I should like to say that the Ercol Classic sofa is perfectly comfortable if used for sitting. It may well be somewhat firmer than some people have become accustomed to in their own homes and, inevitably, an element of subjectivity then becomes apparent.
Very cosy cottage great village location
Very comfortable and easy living cottage near a sweet little village. Great views and nice country walks. Not too far from the Cornish coast and A30 gets you everywhere. Nicely fitted out with all you need
Thank you for writing a review of your stay. We were pleased to know that you appreciated the cottage and surroundings.
Comfortable & clean with almost everything that can be expected of a self Catering Cottage.
Although a bit off the beaten track, Rowella Cottage is close enough to Bodmin & Wadebridge to stock up with supplies and central enough to reach Tintagel and Eden Project & Bodmin Moor with an easy (but long) drive to St Michael's Mount & Lands End.. It was like home from home just a lot quieter, very relaxing. There is a good size free standing freezer, so we only needed on shop once to stock up for the week, giving us more time to sight-see. We enjoyed our stay. Margaret and Clifford are helpful and unobtrusive.
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We were pleased to know that you enjoyed your stay and that you had a relaxing holiday.
Very clean and well presented
The only comment we would make is that the sofa was not very comfortable, and the TV was a bit small, but other than that we enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for your comments.
The sofa referred to is a classic Ercol model, very supportive and comfortable - certainly a contrast to the "sink into" sofa some may prefer and are more familiar with.
With regard to the television, we wanted a set with a built-in CD/DVD player and this was the largest available with this facility.
Cosy, warm and inviting
I had a lovely stay at Rowella. The cottage was perfect for my needs and was a great central base for getting out and about. Sitting on the step with a cuppa listening to birdsong was a treat. I would encourage anyone going to support the Community Shop in Blisland. It caters for all grocery needs and there is a café at the back of the store with some delicious homemade cakes. I did my best to support it by going for coffee and cake regularly!
Thank you for a lovely stay. I shall definitely return.
We were pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for taking the time to write a review. Your comments are much appreciated, especially those in relation to the Community Shop. We look forward to seeing you again.
