Die geräumige Küche verfügt über alles, was Sie brauchen könnten: Waschmaschine, Geschirrspülmaschine, Herd, Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster. Die untere Etage ist offen angelegt. Das Esszimmer führt zur Terrasse, die eine wahre Sonnenfalle mit schönem Blick auf die Berge ist. Großes Wohnzimmer mit komfortabler, 3-teiliger Sitzgarnitur und schönem Kamin. 1 Einzelschlafzimmer im Erdgeschoss neben dem WC. Im Obergeschoss befinden sich 1 Doppelschlafzimmer mit Ensuite-Badezimmer, 1 Doppelschlafzimmer neben dem Hauptbad und 1 Twinschlafzimmer (Doppel- und Einzelbett). Das Ensuite-Badezimmer verfügt über eine elektrische Dusche. Das Hauptbadezimmer hat eine Wanne mit Duschbrause.

Eine der Hauptattraktionen ist die sehr beliebte Beach Bar, ein authentisches, uriges Pub/Restaurant, das nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß über den Sandstrand vom Ferienhaus entfernt ist.

Booking Notes:
A deposit of 100 euros or £100 by cheque or account transfer is required to confirm booking, with remainer due 1 month before arrival date.
There are no extras for the Annex, for the main house oil and electricity are extras and are charged the same amount per unit as we are billed.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Saturday in July/August. We are fllexible the rest of the year. We are flexible about arrival and departure times unless somebody is coming immediately after you. No extra charge for weekend guests staying to Monday.

Notes on prices:

Main House
€800 (£580 ) per week July/August. €500 (£360) per week rest of year.
Weekends or breaks up to 3 nights €350 (£250) apart from July/August.

Annex - same rate all year.
€60 per night up to 2 nights, €50 per night thereafter. €300 for any 7 days

For couples there is an option to do a 2 centre holiday between The Annex and our property at Donegal (IR616). Call/email for a quote with your specific needs.

Wonderful place to experience the Irish culture and admire the views

After spending time in Dingle and Clifden this was a wonderful end to a great trip. Very relaxing with beautiful views, short walk to the beach and lovely home with fireplace to enjoy the evening with family.

Nice house and location

After booking this property in January, the owner Shelia was very helpful in any queries I had. Upon arrival I had informed Shelia when we intended to arrive but unfortunately this needed to be pushed back by an hour and a half as Shelia hadn't been to the property to leave the key. Luckily we had planned a stop in Enniskillen for food etc and the delay didn't affect us. When we arrived we were greeted with a lovely open fire and a large open living/ dining room. The rooms were good in size and the three toilets (one ensuite, one cloakroom and one bathroom) were appreciated. In the downstairs cloakroom the taps were not tightened correctly and only one worked, but it was manageable. The first night we went for dinner in the Beach bar which was a 5 minute walk from the house. Lovely views en route over the beach and sea. The food was good and the service was excellent. On our way back from the pub I got a text from Shelia to inform me that a couple were going to be staying in the apartment which is attached to the house. I was slightly taken aback that I wasnt informed of this before hand as I may have altered my choice in where I stayed. On reflection we didnt even know they were there. We didn't hear them at all. If I had been informed earlier I would have liked to have my dog left indoors as the couple, who arrived while we were at dinner, had a dog too.

The house was clean in places but could have done with a bit more as there were large cobwebs in the skylights and mice droppings (and traps) above the kitchen cupboards.

Overall the house had everything we needed, a nice pub nearby and lovely walks.

Vermieter-Kommentar: I am a little taken aback by some of this feedback . Check in time is 4pm - this is noted on our listing and is standard with all holiday rentals. When I rang at 1pm and discovered that you were just an hour away I was under a bit of pressure to drop the key down and get the fire on. But I got there before you so this is a non-issue. . All our web listings clearly state there is a 4bed and separate annex. I sent you the message of the late booking as a courtesy and so that you would park considerately - there has never been an issue with two separate groups staying and I think this was also your experience. I take your point about the cobwebs in the skylights as they annoy me too but did you notice how inaccessible they are as are the spot-lights for bulb replacement given the height of the ceilings? But this is definitely on my to-do list now. Thankfully we have not had a mouse to visit in a very long time but it is always a possibility as guests spend late nights on the patio watching the sunset with the patio door open. We have even had a few that went to the pub or the beach without closing the patio door and I am a bit paranoid about a mouse getting in. If they do get in we don't want them to get comfortable so yes I do have bait in discrete locations and yes my trap supply is "overkill"! Having said that I'm not aware of any other guests checking over the kitchen cupboards in our 12 years in business. It was a pity that in your feedback you did not mention your experience on Saturday night when I had booked the lovely Montmarte restaurant for you in Sligo and asked a local man with a small minibus to rejig his plans and take you there as otherwise you would have had the added cost of 2 taxis for 6 people. That sort of feedback would have been really useful for guests thinking of coming to the area as yes whilst they love the Beach Bar and it's proximity, sometimes they like to go further afield

Beautiful seaside home!

This lovely home served as a wonderful base as we explored the area in and around Sligo. Great beaches, pastoral setting and an authentic pub within walking distance made this home a real treat.

The owner, Sheila, was a real joy to work with and i hope to make it back to her home again for another stay.

Wonderful property located off the water...comfortable 4 BR in excellent condition

We arrived at Aughris Head, Co. Sligo, 4 senior golfers each desiring a comfortable bedroom, and were surprised to fine such nice accommodations, including two 1/2 baths, one bedroom downstairs and 3 up, one with ensuite bath. Living room had very comfortable leather couch and chairs which all reclined. Nice large dining area and large kitchen with dining. We didn't mind at all that there was no sea view, as it was close, within 3 blocks of the beach nestled into farm land. We enjoyed the livestock as well.

This is a great place to stay for 4 golfers, centrally located among 5 fine links golf courses, Carne, Enniscrone, Strandhill, Co. Sligo, and Donegal G.C. And nearby is the inimitable Beach Bar, serving from 1 to 8 pm, singing sometimes in the bar....and you gotta love the friendliness of the Irish. They're the best!

Very good price for the fine accommodations, with fuel costs extra at end of the stay, about 93 Euros for a week. From N59, take 6206, then take the turn west to the Beach House sign, then North on the narrow road, about a mile, to the Beach House. Thanks, Sheila!!

Fantastic location, lovely house.

We spent a very relaxing week in the Aughris Beachhouse. The house was ver=y roomy and comfortable. Sheila, the owner was very helpful and obliging if we had any queries. The location was beautiful with the beach literally at the end of the road a short walk away, as was the Beach Bar with good food and good service.

Beautifully situated holiday home. House has everything you need for a self catering holiday.

Owner supplied good directions so we found the property easily.

We travelled as a party of 6 and the house had plenty of room for everyone.

Can not recommended the location of the property enough, the beach is a stones throw away which the kids loved, we saw lots of beach wildlife and even had a hare in the garden.

The beach bar is also a must visit, the food and hospitality are both excellent.

I will definitely be returning.
