Beautiful and comfy!
The pictures don’t do the place justice. It’s an absolutely beautiful basement apartment with so much light and an amazing view. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. It’s a clean, large apartment. It was also perfect for my 10 month old. There was a pack and play readily available and she loved crawling all around the open space. Will definitely be staying here again!
This downstairs apartment was clean, beautifully decorated and had small guest-focused complimentary provisions like coffee creamer, shampoo/body wash, etc. It truly felt like a home with plush beds, pillows and blankets to keep us cozy. Our small boys even discovered a small treasure trove of toys to keep them occupied. Minimal noise from the occupants upstairs.
Lovely Place to Stay
Very spacious, clean, beautiful and peaceful place; so quiet and relaxing. Beautiful touches such as chocolate chip blondies, live flowers, and beautiful inspirational decor. Loved it all!
Large 2-BR apartment on quiet farm
This 1700 sf apartment in a residential setting on a farm was the perfect place for us to meet up with family and explore Lancaster County. Our host, Marian, had taken care of many thoughtful details equipping the apartment with all the conveniences of home. A full kitchen with full-size stove and fridge made it economical for us to have breakfast and some dinners here. It was wonderful after a day of exploring to come back to this spacious and restful oasis on the farm. There is no TV, but that did not bother us. There is lots of reading material and a ping pong table. Quotes on the walls were inspiring. Most evenings we sat outside and ate some of our treasures from the farmer's markets. After dark we could count on a myriad of fireflies visiting all around the house. That was all the entertainment we needed. Marian and Naaman were very welcoming and helpful with information about the area (they both grew up in town). Very thankful we spent these 10 days at Honey Brook!
Beautiful, fun and relaxing home!
This place was beyond amazing. We were there for my son’s soccer tournament but I also wanted to spend some quality time with my family. My husband and my son loved the ping pong table, my daughter enjoyed the swing set and I loved walking down to the pond just to sit there and relax. It truly was an amazing family weekend. The cookies were delicious... thank you!!
Off the beaten track
Good stay overall, but I feel the need to point out a few surprises we had when we got there. By "apartment," the listing means furnished downstairs basement of house. Sometimes we could hear noise from the occupants above, which made it difficult to sleep. The entrance is at the rear of the house and there is no walkway or outdoor lighting to illuminate your route. Two nights we came in after dark and had difficulty because the ground is not level. In fact, it's terraced, so there's a drop off and if you are not paying attention, you can fall and hurt yourself. There is a motion-sensor light by the door when you reach it, but none in between the driveway and doorway on the far side of the house. In addition, the house is on a back country road. We could not find a gas station or grocery store in the immediate vicinity. Internet was fine but we had no cell phone reception. There was no TV. The apartment for lovely and the beds super comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the pots and utensils I needed to cook for three. Since all we really needed was a place to sleep and cook breakfast, it worked out just fine for us and the price was much more affordable than staying in a hotel. But if we had been expecting to spend more time in, a different location might have been worth a little extra expense.
I'm sorry you weren't completely satisfied with your experience at Apt. 106! However, if you read the description of our property, it tells you that the apartment is in the daylight basement of the main house. Also, we do have a motion light at the parking spot and one by the entrance door. In the entrance instructions we sent you, we stated there's a flood light switch that you can turn on before you leave if you think you'll be coming back after dark and that lights up the whole back side of the house. Gas and groceries are five minutes away and we would have been happy to let you know had you asked us. Lack of TV is also stated in the description.
