private parking was an asset because you need a car to go anywhere in Glasgow. The apartment was bright, clean and well laid out
My only bad comment is that the area that the website says the apartment is, is not where the apartment actually is. The apartment is north of the M8, not the central/eastern part of the city. However, this all being said, I would return again
The apartment was modern, clean with a car park, it had everything we needed. Good central location, we walked a couple times into glasgow city centre and once to the bus terminal to get a bus to Edinborough, its an easy walk. As we had the car as well, we found it a great location to explore other areas as well. Everything had great instructions and when I contacted Philip with a query, he responded very quickly. This NZ family found the apartment to be fantastic and would recomend it highly to others.
Ho soggiornato una settimana in questa splendida città, è stata una meravigliosa esperienza grazie anche al fatto che ho potuto soggiornare nell'appartamento di Philip, estremamente pulito, ben collegato al centro città ( io avevo a disposizione un'auto, ma i mezzi pubblici sono a brevissima distanza), dotato di tutto ciò che può servire. Dopo una giornata in giro per visite a musei ed attrazioni varie devo dire che per la mia famiglia era un vero piacere rientrare a CASA. Grazie mille
Philip's apartment provided very comfortable, very clean, and well-equipped accommodation for my month's stay in Glasgow. The entire apartment complex is attractive, well-kept, and felt safe at all times. Having a private parking space right at the door was a bonus. Although the front windows face out on a busy street, the traffic noise was minimal. The back bedroom has a fantastic view of the main Glasgow University building, and was so quiet, it was hard to believe the place is so near the centre of this great city.
A weekly cleaning service was provided, and this was always thorough.
The location was perfect for me - the city centre is comfortably walkable in just a relaxed 20-minute (Sauchiehall Street) - 30-minute (Central Station) walk away, and is also easily reached by frequent bus services from a nearby bus stop.
Just a short distance away, I enjoyed peaceful walks along the canal - where a delightful small restaurant can also be found. One of the best Chinese restaurants is only 5 minutes from the apartment. And of course a plethora of fantastic restaurants and pubs are available in Glasgow city centre.
The local library, a modern medical centre, an excellent fish and chip shop, a Post Office, an ATM, a couple of pharmacies, and several mini-mart grocery stores are all within 5-10 minutes walk of the apartment. An Enterprise car-hire office is around a 15-minute walk away, and a further 10-minute walk takes you to a large Tesco store (and other retail outlets).
Philip's correspondence and the instruction booklets and maps/guides in the apartment were outstandingly comprehensive, and on the one occasion where I needed to contact him during my month's stay, he was very responsive.

nous avons apprécié le séjour à Glasgow même si le temps n'était pas de la partie. nous recommandons cet appartement par rapport à sa propreté son emplacement proche du centre ville. Je suggère par contre de mettre une cafetière notamment pour les touristes français qui ne boivent pas de thé !
We went to Glasgow to visit my older son and we stayed at Philip Mcmartin's flat for one week. We and our two children really enjoyed.
The flat was fine, spacious, very clean and well equiped. It was comfortable and provided everything we needed.
I would say that it is more beautiful and spacious than what the website photos show.
It is not very close tothe city center but the canal nearby is a really nice place to walk about and play.
I would recommend it to friends and of course it will be our first choice the next time we go to Glasgow.

Cleaning and linen changes take place on a Saturday so all short stay bookings must fall within a Saturday 4pm to Saturday 10am range, although I can arrange for arrival/departure on any day within the Saturday to Saturday week.
