We were a family group of 8 adults 5 children and two infants. The chalet provided all the accommodation we needed. It is located in a lovely position and it has a mass of character.
But the owners and Chalet staff were amazing. Paul went out of his way to help us collect our ski equipemt. His wife Kate was always able to deal with our many questions via email. Matt and Carinda knocked our socks off with the meals throughout the week. We had to ask them to scale it back as we were all having trouble getting our ski pants to fit!
Matt and Carinda also coped well with providing the kids meals which were a great success.
I don't wish to bring the tone down but beware if you are going with infants. There are no pavements from the chalet to the start of the shops, so walking with a pushchair is challenging. This is only a problem if you are walking when skiers are trying to get to the slopes -
In summary, we had a great time and loved the attention and service we got from the owners and their staff.
Would we return - Darn right we will.
Our stay started with a lovely greeting from Paul and Kate. It got better as we found plenty of space for our luggage, a well outfitted kitchen, the beds to be very comfortable as well as beautiful balcony views.
The location is perfect, just a short walk to the busy center village without being too close. We would recommend this chalet for big families or large groups because everyone can spread out on 3 levels.
Splendid chalet with all what you need inside it was near the center of megeve.
Hot water pression in the bathrooms need to be improved otherwise we spend a very nice holiday and we will be happy to come back.
Unfortunately this chalet is now somewhat tired and the photographs on the website make it look much better than it is. Actually thought our minibus had dropped us off at the wrong place. Location-wise it is ideal, a short bus ride to Mont d'Arbois, and within walking distance of the centre. If renting the whole chalet, please be warned that the 3 bedrooms upstairs all have sloping ceilings with wooden beams and are not ideal for adults. Food below average compared to previous chalets I have stayed in. All in all, very disappointing for the price paid.
We had a fantastic ski week and returning to this clean, comfortable and above all very homely and welcoming chalet at the end of a wonderful days skiing was a bonus. The chalet girls were great, nothing was too much trouble and the homemade cakes and evening meals were sumptuous, we will definitely return in Spring/summer to do some walking in this lovely area. The village of Megeve is beautiful. The whole holiday experience was great. Kate and Paul (owners) were very friendly and well informed on the best places to ski. Simply great.
