Beautiful view, central location, pet friendly

We stayed three months as we've done in Phoenix for four winters, all different locations. This has been the best view and location for our active lifestyle. As golfers, we enjoyed playing McCormick Ranch ( and many other courses) and watching the qualifying round of the iconic Waste Management Open from our large patio! Nights were spent with friends and family around the portable fire pit watching the sun set behind Camelback Mountain. Shay, the owner, provides 2 bicycles which we used often since the condo is right off the Greenbelt. Space for one SUV/car in garage. Owner's car is kept on other side. A heated Olympic-sized pool and large hot tub are a few steps away. A smaller pool is also on the property. Walked to pilates and yoga and several restaurants. Supermarket two blocks away. Neighbors are friendly! Perfect first floor to walk our small dog. Interior has everything we needed with updated kitchen appliances. We both still work so office area was convenient. Handyman was prompt with attending to any minor issues. We are returning for three months in 2018!

Would think twice about staying here.

This condo did not appear to be cleaned when we arrived. We found dog biscuits in the sofa bed and couch. There was dog hair on the bed and sofa. We had to vacuum and clean the floor to remove dust and dirt. Two of the closets were full of personal belongings. The patio had a large patch of bird droppings. There were cobwebs in the ceiling and the oven was not cleaned. Bear in mind there is a $150 non-refundable cleaning fee. We washed all bedding linen. The bathtub hot/cold knob fell off. The unit is only adequate for 4 people max. The two bicycles available for tenants had flat tires. The garage is packed full of personal belongings and a personal vehicle with little space left for our vehicle. We had to oil the kitchen cupboards doors because they squealed loudly.

Vermieter-Kommentar: If you communicate with me, I go out of my way to please my guests. See 5-star ratings. It is unfortunate that Mel was not able to express his concerns during his stay. It is true that the bike tires were flat, of which I paid to have fixed. It is also true that I use 1 closet in the Master Bedroom (1 of 3 closets) as the owners closet and some space in the Den closet (it is very oversized and a normal closet size is left for guests to use). I make this clear. However, Mel never expressed any dissatisfaction during his stay. Had he said that it wasn't clean upon check in, I would have sent my cleaning crew to fix it to his satisfaction. He didn't tell me this until anything until after he left. It seems had I agreed to give him $150 he would not have written the review. Here is our communication, after his departure: On Oct 28, 2017 mel wrote: we will be vacating the premises Sunday morning, 29 October, so we can be home in time for Halloween. We will be leaving the premises much cleaner than we found it. It was evident that it was not professionally cleaned upon entry. We found dog biscuits in the all the sofas and beds as well as considerable dog hair. There are other items of uncleanliness too numerous to mention. Also, we bought a mop and PineSol to clean the floors as they were quite dirty. The patio has a large patch of what appears bird droppings under the hanging basket. We got the Dirt Devil Vacuum and kept it in the unit for daily cleaning. We do have pictures. Anyways, apart from that, we had a great time. All these issues can easily be remedied. I have signed leases where the cleaning fee is refunded as long as the unit is left very clean. regards. Fortunately, Mel has other options for future stays.

Amazing patio and view!

Beautiful spacious condo that easily accommodated a family of 4! This condo had everything and more! Owner very responsive and provided detailed instructions on everything. We spent hours on the patio enjoying the views and golfers. Lots of walking spaces, close to great hikes and our favorite restaurant, Vig!

Too cluttered but beautiful view off the patio

When we arrived the key to the screen door and the garage door opener were not in the designated place and it took us quite some time to find them.

The rental unit was cluttered with so many knickknacks and fake flowers and large fake plants covered in dust.

There were items left over from the previous renters in the fridge and the freezer and the shelves in the fridge were not clean.

There were half used dry good items in the cupboards in the kitchen and the kitchen was so chalk full of unnecessary items that there wasn't any room for our dry good items. We had to keep our dry goods on the counter in the kitchen. This was rather annoying.

We were shocked that most of the closets were full of the owners personal belongs making it rather difficult to accommodate our things. (We booked this unit for a month)

Also, the TV worked sometimes and the microwave never worked.

My husband and I have rented various houses in the last 3 years, 2 in Tucson, 3 in the Turks and Caicos, 3 in Florida, and 1 in Tuscany and we have never been disappointed. Closets were clear to put our clothes, the kitchens were well equipped and shelves were cleared.

The owner did get back to us with our concerns in a timely fashion however we were disappointed in this rental.

Vermieter-Kommentar: I was sad to hear that that this particular guest was not happy with their stay in my condo. I pride myself on providing an excellent experience and creating an environment that I would enjoy if I were the guest. I hope to do the same for you. Regarding the unnecessary items mentioned, I believe this is a matter of personal preference. I intentionally stock the condo with condiments, spices, paper goods, laundry and cleaning supplies. I want you to arrive and feel like you can relax, cook, bake, and be "at home." There are robes, sheets, towels and laundry baskets in the closets. These items are not personal clutter but amenities I hope you will enjoy. In the 2nd bedroom closet, a PakNPlay, children's toys, and books are available for guests who have children or grandchildren. More than 75% of the 2nd bedroom closet is empty sans a laundry basket and wooden hangers for guest use. The den closet shelf also contains board games paper, and extra blankets for guest use. In the master bedroom, there are two full-size closets and a large dresser that are available for guests. As for the condition of the TV and appliances, everything is in working order. Had this guest communicated they were having any issues, my assistant and I would have handled it immediately. We have not been able to replicate a problem with either the TV or microwave and I have never received such a complaint from any other guests. No keys are required to enter the condo as a personalized key code is provided via email before arrival. I have been blessed to have wonderful guests who have been very pleased with my condo and level of service. Receiving negative feedback from this guest, post visit, was difficult because my team and I would have been so willing to satisfy her needs had we known there was an issue. My local assistant, handyman; cleaning crew and I are happy to create the best, most pleasant experience for you as possible. As an aside, this was the first, only, and last guest that I did not have a personal telephone conversation with before accepting a reservation. Before accepting any reservation, I require that we talk by phone or video conference so we can ensure that we have a mutually good match and experience.

Perfect location for Scottsdale stay

This condo was perfect for having a great Scottsdale experience --- right on the golf course, pool a very short walk away, bike paths, restaurants and shops all nearby. The condo was decorated nicely and we loved the comfy king size bed. We got a lot of enjoyment sitting on the large patio for meals and drinks. The view of Camelback and surrounding area is beautiful. The owner is super responsive and when one small issue came up, she got it taken care of right away. Would definitely like to stay here again.
