Stayed for 3 nights. Clean spacious apartment easy to get to Downtown by public transport. Jo Jo is easy to get in touch with and allowed us to change our booking dates at short notice and helped with parking. No complaints perfect stay. Thank you.

Truly a great experience. Jojo was a fantastic host and was very responsive to our needs. My family and I were in a clean, safe environment and we wouldn't think twice about coming back. It's a no-brainer. There's so much to do in Toronto and in the neighborhood as well. Kings Diner which is not too far away was very good, and taking Kingston Ave and Dundas Streets was an efficient path into the heart of downtown TO and all the action. I give 4.5 stars!! A real bargain.
Chose this property based primarily on price. Way cheaper than any listings downtown. The suite was clean and well equipped with on-site laundry. Felt a bit claustrophobic due to low ceilings and being in a basement. Unfortunately, you could hear and feel every footstep from the people on the main level. The hot water heater quit working twice ( very inconvenient ) but the owner responded quickly and a repair was made. Great for the price, but "you get what you pay for" definitely applies in this case.
I find it odd that someone would rent a basement apartment that is advertised quite obviously as a basement apartment and then complain that it WAS a basement apartment. I’m sorry that you found it “claustrophobic “ but our ceilings are not low; they are 7’5” high as the entire foundation was dug down to accommodate the higher than average basement ceiling height. Since I too, am overly sound sensitive, we had resilient channeling and the highest level soundproofing installed between the two floors. Again we are quite transparent in our listing description that the Main Floor is sometimes also inhabited and we provide many accurate photos of the interior.
Our 3 year old top of the line Tankless/On Demand water heater did not break twice! A sensor needed to be replaced even though it was serviced only one month prior and our HVAC company responded in record time.
I must say also, that I found it quite odd that you moved the microwave and coffee maker to the dining table to use, causing steam damage to the teak table top. I did not claim the damage deposit as a gesture of goodwill since you had been without hot water for a day and since you did not take me up on my offer of compensation.
Most odd of all, was seeing this strange negative review after your asking to extend your stay for another night and receiving your departure message thanking us “for everything!”
Perhaps in future, instead of choosing by price, you might choose a property with features that could make you happy and avoid choosing something that couldn’t and then complaining publicly that you “got what you paid for”.
