A Perfect Little Gem
We stayed at The Barn for 4 nights for an anniversary break & can honestly say that our 4 night/ 5 day break was perfect in every way. The Barn itself is superb, very clean & more than comfortable. It is nicely decorated & very well equipped with everything you could need. From our initial arrival I knew we had made an excellent choice, the village is pretty & simply charming as is The Barn itself when you arrive. Eric was on hand with the warmest of welcomes to let us in & show us around as well as providing knowledge of the area & places to visit. The welcome pack is lovely & included some lovely tasty local produce. We were also surprised by a bottle of Prosecco & an anniversary card from Eric & Amanda as they had remembered I had mentioned it when I originally booked it all those months ago.....Such a nice, thoughtful gesture, thank you so much! I loved the fresh flowers in both the kitchen/dining area & lounge, little touches like that make the place a real home from home.
A visit , or three, to The Kings Head is a must. Their gin selection, over 130 varieties, was a delight to sample & the food was superb. The locals are all very friendly & inclusive as are the landlord & landlady, you really felt you were stepping into your own local as soon as you walked through the door.
The surrounding area is just so pretty and there are plenty of places to go visit just a drive away, with some amazing views as you meander along the lovely roads.
Another must is a walk around the local church & graveyard which is steeped in history and you are made very welcome to look around & find out a little more of the village history.
There is absolutely nothing to fault at The Barn & everything to love. It really is a home from home.
Thank you for your warm hospitality & letting stay at your wonderful accommodation, everything was just simply perfect!!
Gorgeous barn
This location was perfect for us, it was clean and comfortable. Eric and Amanda made us feel very welcome and were there to offer advice if needed.
Cannot recommend this place enough.
The Barn
The Barn was a fantastic find. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. Eric, the owner, was on hand to meet us and show us around the property. The welcome pack was especially appreciated! We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, including our dog Alfie.
Lovely Weekend Break
I booked the Barn for 3 night for my family. The property was lovely, peaceful, clean, very comfortable, well equipped and had everything you could think for. Eric and Amanda both were very helpful and gave good advice for places to visit. Overall a lovely relaxing break.
Fantastic Long Weekend Break
We booked The Barn for a long weekend break for the 2 of us with with my 80 year old Mom. This property was just perfect for what we were looking for. Great location for getting to the coast (Lyme Regis) or visiting local attractions (Montacute House). Having the downstairs bedroom was perfect for my Mom and The Barn was lovely and clean, well decorated and very comfortable. A real home away from home. Amanda was there to meet us when we arrived and the welcome pack was great. If we are visiting the area again we would definitely book again.
Somerset stay
Eric and Amanda very welcoming with lots of helpful information. Very dog friendly.Five stars.
Lage
