The North Shore ist die Heimat einiger der schönsten Strände und Buchten der Welt. In den Wintermonaten, die schwillt an weltbekannten Surfspots Waimea Bay, Pipeline und Sunset Beach erreichen 30 Meter oder mehr. Das ist, wenn Profi-Surfer und Fans steigen auf Hale'iwa und der North Shore. Das Wasser ist ruhig während der restlichen Zeit des Jahres und ideal zum Schwimmen, Schnorcheln und Tauchen. Die North Shore weißen Sandstrände, kristallklares Wasser und romantische Sonnenuntergänge können das ganze Jahr über genossen werden.
When my husband and I arrived at Jason's studio apartment there were no parking spaces on the street as he advertised. I texted Jason and he replied stating we could park in his driveway as he was out of town . We parked in his driveway and unloaded our car. We then went to dinner. Upon returning, about 2 hours later, again there was no parking. Both driveway and his street parking were all full. We texted him again to which he replied he would ask his roommate to make space. We continued to sit on the road waiting, again texting Jason, expressing our frustration and that we were still waiting for a parking space. Later he suggested we park across the street. The street was full of cars on both sides but even if we could find other street parking there were signs along the road saying No Parking from 8am to 3pm, Monday through Friday. I told Jason we did not plan to be up and out by 8am and we didn't want to deal with this problem every time we returned. After sitting in the street for nearly an hour we repacked our car and left, texting Jason to inform him that we were packing and leaving as we had no intentions of spending our vacation sitting on the street any longer in the dark waiting for parking and we wanted a full refund. Initially Jason said he wouldn't refund our money without photos. I had 3 photos, one of his driveway full of cars, one of his street parking filled with cars, and one of the posted No Parking sign. Jason now refuses to refund our money even though we were only in the room for about 15 minutes, had photos, and there was no parking as he advertises. Please be aware that parking is a huge issue on his street. THERE IS NO PARKING. We've contacted Home Away and are trying to go that route to get our money refunded.
The room was very clean and cute. The bed was soft and comfortable. Towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, a boogie board and such are provided.
Privacy was good accept for a lot of noise from neighboring houses and the owners the first night. It was not a place we felt comfortable being intimate.
No A/C but that was fine because it was well shaded and was cool enough with the slat windows all open and the ceiling fan running. No view at all beyond the garden just outside but the privacy was welcome. There was a very nice space just outside of the entrance that was not set up at all. This could have been made to be a very cute and private patio garden area but was not. Just a suggestion. Fix up this area for private outside dining or lounging. Some pavers, potted plants and a table and chairs would be great there. This and a bamboo roll down cover over the window to the main house to give more privacy there.
The location was in the middle of a local neighborhood and a couple blocks from the shore. We didn't see any beach that was interesting within walking distance. We didn't look very hard either though. We pretty much knew where we wanted to go so we just jumped in the car and went to our favorite beaches.
Considering that this was a big surf contest time and it was last minute we were lucky to get this place. With this taken into consideration it was a nice place to stay. But with a little more work this place could be much better.
My best friend and I visited the north shore to surf and Jason's place was perfect! In between Haleiwa and sunset, we were able to surf All day and come back to a clean, safe place to stay. Not too mention Jason couldn't be nicer! I've already booked to stay here again!
I booked two nights through VRBO and 4 days before my arrival the Owner said there was a double booking and the unit was no longer available. Now I'm scrambling to find a place to stay with limited selection and higher rates. From the previous reviews this owner seemed like a trustworthy and honest place to stay but now I'm looking at staying at another place in the island paying more money than we expected.
He tried to offer a solution but it was totally unacceptable for us to jump from one unit to another every night. Instead of taking in the beauties of the island he wanted to us to pack and move. Thanks but no thanks!
Me and my wife went to Jason´s place on our honeymoon and the place was real nice. It was very clean. The room was so beautiful. The neighborhood is really safe and quite. We got there all we need. Ceiling fan, coffee maker, tv, beach and snorkel equipment even sunscreen. It is located within walking distance from a beach.

Rental rules and regulations
1. Check-in time is after 3 p.M. And check-out is 10 a.M. No early check-ins.
2. This is a non smoking unit.
3. Pets are not permitted in rental units under any conditions.
4. Sand is to be removed prior to entering the unit. There is a shower at the pool or toweling off is suffice.
5. No noise after 10 pm as per city rules. So we ask your refrain from parties and noise past this time. 6. No excessive drinking on premise. Casual drinking for 21 older only. Under age drinking will waive your right of stay and forfeit your rental costs.
7. Damage/reservation deposit- a damage/reservation deposit is required or will be charged via booking agent escrow service if unit is left damaged, we will refund the balance of damages are corrected. Funding details must be received upon booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is not applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (5) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met.
A. No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.
B. Charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay (aka sublet is not allowed).
C. All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in dumpster, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned.
D. All keys are left on the kitchen counter and unit is left unlocked (all doors).
E. All charges accrued during the stay are paid upon arrival. No payments are accepted during or after stay.
F. No linens, towels, beach equipment or any other equipment are to be lost or damaged.
