Great location horrible house- in disrepair, not clean, left over food…:( .
The owner said we complained when we mentioned the hot tub had not been cleaned ( as it turns out it was broken. ) we requested ( no reply) a partial refund. Because as it turns out it was inoperable.
This is part of the last text I sent. We threw $500 out as a percentage of total paid. And by no means was it us taking advantage. And I’m shocked by the attitude of “us taking advantage” / “complaining”. You disregarded my original attempt to discuss a good faith partial refund. When I notified you that the hot tub wasn’t clean- it was not to complain. But to inform you that you are paying for a service that is not being rendered. When you advertise amenities on a weekly beach rental property, why would it be unreasonable for us, who selected your property, because of, the hot tub, to expect it to be working. I understand things happen. Things happened from the moment we walked in. And we dealt with it. ( no light in the kitchen our first night) trying to re-pair ceiling fan lights. Open food in the pantry. Multiple leftover half used shampoo bottles in every shower… mold in showers, broken toilets. Food in fridge inside ( 5 bottles of maple syrup) & outside ( I didn’t touch it. The milk expired June 9th) a dead bird In The outdoor shower. - no we did not say a word. It’s actually still there, under the floor. All of it, because I felt like I was being a pain when inquiring abt the hot tub and hoping to get it resolved. Honestly, I was just happy to be on vacation in your lovely beach house that just needs attention. I’ve been renting beach properties for 25 years, multiple weeks a year. I’ve never had an experience like this.
