When we first arrived we couldnt believe how beautiful the gardens and cottage were but when we opened inside it only got better! We went with the intent of just staying there for sleeping purposes as we'd be in a convention 95% of time however we left so incredibly relaxed and well rested. The atmosphere Cibyl provided was that of amazing hospitality and detail. We felt at home and she provided everything necessary for stay included and extremely clean place! The bathroom is amazing too! Everything was super close by as well. Definitely recommend and come back if in Portland!
A very cozy and charming place to stay. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and is in a great location.
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here. It was comfortable, quirky and characterful and in a great location with many places to eat and drink very close by. Cibyl and her husband were very friendly but also gave us our privacy and we would definitely stay here again next time we're in Portland.
I stayed at the Plum cottage for 5 nights while attending a course near the LLOYD Center. I walked to and from the cottage daily through the Irvington neighborhood ( lovely homes ) took about 30 minutes each way. I enjoyed the staying in the cottage thoroughly. It is a warm delightfully decorated space. Sleeping in the loft was like sleeping in a treehouse. The garden and seating area right out the door was a treat to wake up to. Very private. The bathroom also was a marvel of reclaimed earthy and charming style. So, yes I would definitely stay here again. There were only two things that kept it from being five stars in my book. The coffee situation. Although it is so nice to provide coffee. The French Press was a little hard to clean in a Vrbo without a kitchen. That is minor I know. The other thing is the loft had very little space in which to move about. Very steep stairs. I did fine and was able to manage but someone on the taller side or older in age would have difficulty getting in and out of bed. As it was I bumped my head a few times getting out of bed. That being said, I would still definitely rent this Vrbo again.
The bed was quite comfortable and the location is really good for walkability. We didn't even rent a car. The owners were sooooo nice and accommodating and we really appreciated them.
Great time in a great place!
