Viel Glück mit Ihren Reiseplänen! Jonathan und Samantha
We loved staying at the Amazing Planet. As former Vermonters, we loved the beauty of the land, mountains and gardens. Our four young grandchildren enjoyed running around outside. The house was comfortable for 8 people and had everything we needed. We liked being near Brattleboro and Williamsvile. We highly recommend Amazing Planet for any large group and plan on returning again sometime in the future.
I rented this four bedroom home for a weekend with my adult nieces. It was pleasant and comfortable and it was nice that each bedroom had its on bathroom with shower. There was a big living room, dining room and a kitchen. The only downsides were that it was on a very busy road and I found it noisy at night and the early morning. Also the manager and family live in an attached house so it did not feel too private. It is in a beautiful area though with lots to do in the Brattleboro area.
What a lovely stay! The house is clean and spacious; 4 bedrooms and 4 baths was luxury for our 6 adults and 2 small fry (ages 2 and 4). The kids were particularly enamored with the plentiful chickens, and we all loved the 24/7 access to a farmstand with fresh produce and eggs. Hosts are delightful people and extremely responsive to anything we needed, including the inside scoop on kid-friendly activities in the area. Most necessities are provided, but do bring shampoo and sharp knives. The location is just 15 min to downtown Brattleboro with easy access to the southern Green Mountains and a variety of local happenings. The only drawback is that the house is set quite close to the road, so be prepared for a small amount of noise in the front bedrooms.
Jonathan and Samantha were wonderful hosts and everything about their farmhouse was fantastic. A great place to stay!
We had a very pleasant weekend stay. The house is spacious, extremely clean and organized, and convenient to access from major routes. There are four bedrooms, one on the first floor and three on the second. One of the bedrooms has two twin beds, and the others have a queen bed, so 8 people can sleep comfortably. All linens, sheets/cases/blankets, are provided. There are four bathrooms (that's a lot for 8 people!), two of which has a bath and the other two a shower. Towels are provided. We brought our own soaps and shampoo. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils and cookwares, a toast oven, an electric kettle, four stoves, a large oven, and a big dining table. The living room is tidy and comfortable; there are sofas, chairs, and a few boardgames. The heater works well (except that it accidentally malfunctioned during our stay--see below) and the wi-fi was great. AT&T reception was excellent, but there was some trouble with Verizon. Shoes are prohibited indoors, so the house is very clean. I hope all guests take care of the house to keep it as pristine as it was when we got there. If lights in the house are turned off, the farm can be completely dark, offering great views of the night sky. Even with a few lights on, we were able to see thousands of stars! There was zero odor from the farm (at least in winter).
We were most impressed with owner Jonathan, who made every effort to make our stay comfortable. We were hit by a blizzard on Saturday night, and he was already plowing it on Sunday morning. The second-floor heater malfunctioned during our stay. He called in a technician right away and offered us too generous a compensation (for which we did not ask). Even with a dead heater in mid-winter, the beds were sufficiently warm.
In summary, we really appreciated Jonathan and we had an amazing experience there. We'll definitely consider staying here again.
