Great location and very clean

The apartment is in a great location, up and coming neighborhood with lots of shops and restaurants. High ceilings make it feel very open and has lots of natural light, even in winter. Claudette and her husband were so welcoming we felt right at home, would definitely stay here again!

Bright open 3 bedroom apartment

Great location. 20 min walking distance from downtown. Place can sleep more than 6 people if you include the couch. Please note this location does have stairs to enter the property and would suggest to put this detail in the discretion for those who can not do stairs. Loved the kerieg machine,i so want one now. Place comes equipped with linen dishes an other suggestion is a spice rack, would be great for those who do cook and dont have to buy the spices. Over all great place. If i am ever in hamilton again i hope this place is available

We will purchase a spice rack, also for the stairs, if we know we are receiving senior guests, we let them know & sometimes for that reason new guests look elsewhere, you are right I will put this information at the head of description this way they are no surprises. You were an excellent guest, you kept the apartment so clean, did the laundry for the sheets & towels, wash the floors. Hope your young children did not miss you too much. But at least you had 1 young man to keep you company. The location is great, when we lived there we appreciated the fact that we could biked or walked to theatre, concerts, sport events, marina, the mutitude choice of restaurants, gallery, stores, fresh market. all the municipal offices for passeport or other ID, the bus right across the street to go to McMaster UN, or Ancaster & Dundas for their trail parks. It is a vibrant centre core. We are so thrilled that we can offer our unit to our guests. Take care & thank you again. You will be indeed welcome for sure. Claudette & Dosseh

Comfortable, well equipped, courteous hosts

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay (6 nights) at this apartment.

The listing for it was accurate and pretty much exactly as we expected. Sure it fronts onto a main road and the area is downtown, but we had absolutely no problems with that. It's on the upper 2 floors of a 3 floored building, but the steps (one inside and one outside) have good handrails.

The property was very clean and much better equipped than we would have expected. There were a lot of lovely touches like the fruit bowl and helpful things left around that made it feel like a "home from home" (not sterile like a hotel).

Despite arriving late from Toronto Airport, Claudette and Dosseh were there to great us and took time to show us around. They really are great hosts and we thank them ever so much for their hospitality and for providing such a great place to stay.

Would we recommend the property? Yes of course. It was comfortable, clean, reasonably priced and central for many attractions in this part of Ontario. Some have said that it's a little warm in the summer, but we had no problem in October.

We chose Hamilton because it's midway between Toronto and Niagara. We used our hire car for the Niagara trips as the QEW is a good road to the unmissable falls and to pretty Niagara-on-the-Lake. We initially took a train from Burlington GO station to Toronto, but the 1 hour express bus from Hamilton GO was also surprisingly good. It saves any hassle parking in Toronto.

What was surprising was the things to do in Hamilton itself. The guided tour of Dundurn House is interested and recommended, and the Bayfront and Gage Parks are very restful. For aviation enthusiasts, the Canadian Warbirds Museum is a must. The warship HMCS Haida was in dry dock while we were there, otherwise that would have been another visit.

We could have spent a lot longer in Hamilton. We did not have time for any other town museums, and would have liked to see the Tigercats play at nearby Tim Hortons' stadium had they had been at home. There are also a lot of other things to do in this area of Ontario such as the Wineries, Lake Erie, the Welland Canal, Stratford, etc.

In summary, it was a great stay. If ever we are back in the area we would look to stay there again as it felt so comfortable and homely. Thanks again, Claudette and Dosseh.

We strive to make our guests comfortable & at ease, nice to know that we have an amount of success, makes our day. You left the apartment in the state that you came in, as if no one had been there at all, we much appreciated. You had excellent weather while on this trip, which makes it more enjoyable of course. Going back home is always great, the only drawback back to work, picking up the routine to work again, but the work will allow you to make such a wonderful holidays as you had. The perfect location for us while visiting a friend

The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed, the owners (Claudette and Dosseh) met us at the apartment and handed over the keys and did a walk through with us. We enjoyed the fruit basket, after traveling 11 hours it was nice to have this treat.

It was perfect for the two of us, however if we had another person staying in the other bedroom I would recommend somehow adding a air conditioner.

We will recommend you to any owner that you choose to spend time as their guests. At this time the room only has air cooler & fan. Of course we are looking into having the same system as my mother in New York which is the ability to open the skylight & cover it at night. In Canada our skilled workers are so busy & the ones skylights specialists we have talked to don't do commercial building, even though it is a very small building,limitation has to do with codes & insurance & the like. They can only do specific height. If one isn't an handyman which nor I or Dosseh are, we are stock, we were lucky to get a good contractor to gutted out the apartment, but now I need to wait 2 months for him to do some other work for me. Your recommendation & point is much appreciated. It allows us to improve our facility so our guests feel very comfortable. Thank you again Diane & Lise. Claudette & Dosseh

Wonderful owners, well-equipped home

We had rented a different home, and upon arriving on the 3rd, it was not located where it was advertised, resulting in us having to find another place to stay from the 4th-9th. Claudette was gracious and allowed me to book super fast...we arranged everything on the 4th to arrive same day. We arrived late due to July 4th fireworks, but she met us at the home anyway, even though it had to have been 11:30 pm to give us a tour and show us everything. Great hospitality. We had 2 adults, 3 teen/young adult children, 5 total.

The property is just as stated, very clean, and was quiet. The small 3rd bedroom that shares the skylight with the bathroom was quite warm, but the fan in the house did help. We stayed here as the halfway point between Niagra area and Toronto, which are about an hour each way. Everything you need is here, laundry detergent/softener, dish soap, hand soap, towels. There are no curtains (only 2" blinds) in the master, so be aware if you want to sleep in. Loved the washer and dryer and the hardwood bamboo floors. There's even a Little Caesar's on the corner you can walk to for pizza.

Checkout was super easy, can't thank the owners enough for letting us book on such short notice and for meeting us at the house even though it was quite late. My only criticism is the 3rd bedroom being hot, but bar that, this was a super clean place to stay, perfect as a starting off point for Niagra/Buffalo and Toronto. We were able to visit the falls, Buffalo, the Jazz Festival in Toronto, the Aquarium of Niagra, Toronto Chinatown, a walking tour, and Toronto Islands. Our deposit was refunded within hours of departure. Thanks Claudette!
