With a large group of eleven people (seven of them being children) this house was very accommodating. The house was clean with plenty of towels and linens. We used the grill on the deck for many of our meals, and the outdoor shower made washing the kids off a breeze . Sharks cove is a short walk across the street and has prime snorkeling for all ages. The house has many beach toys and snorkeling gear to choose from, with grass matts and beach towels at our disposal. The on site washer a dryer was very convenient. We had a few minor issues with lights in one bedroom and a bathroom, these concerns were brought up to the manger Steve who was very helpful with addressing our concerns.
I recommend this house to anyone who is staying on the North Shore with a large group. The neighborhood is quiet, and the sound of waves in the background makes staying at this house very enjoyable. Like everywhere else on the island there are free range chickens, their presence was not an issue for our group. A cup of coffee from Vintage Island coffee in Hale'iwa was a regular stop of ours. Hale'iwa Beach House has amazing food and views from the patio and should be experienced a least once during your stay on the North Shore. If we ever stay on the North Shore again we will return to Three Tables Beach House.
We had three generations: 7 adults, 3 kids, 1 baby, and this house was comfortable for all of us. The house and location is an opportunity to feel the 'real Hawaii' and not a pristine resort. One block off the beach, one block away from the grocery, one block away from the food trucks. Oh, there is an avocado tree in the front yard that was dropping ripe avocados during our stay. They were great eating!
This was our first stay on the North Shore and we couldn't have chosen a better house for our holiday. Its location is perfect, being only a short walk to Waeima Bay, Table Top and Shark's Cove. A short bike ride gets you to Sunset Beach and the great Ted's Bakery. Foodland and a coffee shop are very close as are a number of food trucks and hire shops.
The house is very spacious and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and large dining table that everyone can sit around to enjoy a meal after a great day out. There is a comfortable lounge area equipped with TV (including Netflix). The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Outside there is also a large Lanai with a gas BBQ and a grassed area.
An added bonus is the gear room downstairs where there are bikes and beach gear to borrow.
The house is perfectly located for travelling to other parts of the island. We will definitely be back.
My three children and five grand daughters had a wonderful week on the North Shore in this delightful house which was virtually across the street from what turned out to be our very favourite beach, Tables. The house was perfect, clean and beautifully equipped. It was a holiday of a lifetime.
We recently stayed at this house for a mini family reunion. The house was adequate to accommodate the 10 of us. It is close to the beach and to the grocery store and food trucks which are all perks! There are beach toys, towels and snorkeling gear for guests use which we appreciated! The downside was the house was very warm the day we arrived and difficult to sleep! It did not improve much during the entire stay to the point some of us were looking for other accommodations, but in the end decided we had already invested too much money and would prefer to stay together. Both upstairs bedrooms have plug in swamp cooler/air conditioners. The small upstairs bedroom with one window and a small area stays comfortable due to this. The large bedroom upstairs with multiple windows and lots of space is very warm and uncomfortable, in general. Our family staying in that room reported that the warm kitchen and living areas on the main floor were generally several degrees cooler than the large bedroom upstairs, even with the cooler plugged in.
The other downside was bugs. We did see/kill roaches but the guest in downstairs room with 1/2 bath had a LOT (Over 30) of bugs resembling ants in the bed. Not appearing to be looking for food...but between top and bottom sheets. The guest was also bit by something other than the ants while sleeping two different times..which left bite marks in a row on neck and back. The property managers responded promptly and courteously to the "complaint"...with the reference to the clause in the contract as follows: "Guest understands that Hawaii is a tropical climate in which insects, rodents and lizards unfortunately flourish. You will undoubtedly encounter these pests during your stay and understand that the owner will make our best effort to hold to an absolute minimum your interaction with these pests. Contact with a pest inside or outside of your rental is not reason for termination of this Agreement nor is it a reason for a refund of your monies" While cockroaches or ants getting into food left out might be unavoidable, ANY bugs in a bed are not acceptable!
They agreed to look into the problem, so check with them before renting to be sure it was resolved.
Location was great for the north shore as others have mentioned.
TV and cable/internet were fantastic
Location to Foodland (2 minute walk) and highway to get around
Two minute walk to the beach and sunsets
Boogie boards, SUPs and grill availability
Not so positive notes:
Could have been cleaner - dusting and bugs
Two larger BRs share bathroom upstairs
One BR upstairs gave me a few head knockings (I am only 5'7" and not used to watching these things)
Comfortable for maybe 9; over this would be a challenge like we had
Not as clean as would have liked
