Clean & convenient to downtown & interstate
Very convenient for what we needed & just as advertised
It was great having you guys and the home was in great shape. Please come again when in the area. Call me direct. 678-354-9245
Great place. Close to the heart of Marietta. Owners were helpful and available, but not in the least bit intrusive. Enjoyed our stay very much. Would not hesitate to recommend.
A change in plans!
I had a reservation for the Summer Cottage, but was unable to stay there. The family in the home before me had a family member hospitalized in critical condition and was unable to leave. George offered us the apartment on the lower level which we took our first night there, but It was not what I had hoped for my visit with my family in Marietta. George was very kind and responsive. We ended up staying in the Stone Lodge, a much larger and more expensive property for the same price I would have paid for the Summer Cottage. He and his wife Asenah went out of there way to prepare both properties for us. We all appreciated his flexibility and generosity. Our family time there was very comfortable and memorable. I wouldn’t hesitate to try the Summer Cottage, within walking distance to Marietta Square, another time!
Great Location in Marietta
We rented the upstairs portion of this home over the Christmas holidays while visiting family that lived nearby. The home is in a great location and walking distance to the square in Marietta. The house is clean and the kitchen well equipped with everything you need if cooking a light meal. The owners are super responsive and welcoming ensuring you have everything necessary for an enjoyable stay. As stated in the other reviews, the house is located close to the train tacks and if a light sleeper can be a bit startling during the early morning hours.
Nice place & great hosts
Really comfortable & cozy, look forward to returning.
Thank you for staying with us! We enjoyed meeting your family and your understanding of the plumbing issues!
Charming house, exceptional owners
My husband and I very much enjoyed this property as we relocated from California to Georgia for his job. We also arrived with our 3 dogs, of which extended stay hotels would not accept more than 2, nor would they allow us to leave them in the room alone. Asenah and George Richeson came to our rescue, and for that we are forever grateful. They allowed us all to stay at their charming cottage and feel welcome at our temporary ‘home’ for one week, which then turned into 16 days due to movers delay. The house is much larger than it looks, comes equip with just what you need to get by, and even has a working washer and dryer. The desk inside was perfect for me to continue my remote work, and lovely covered deck area to watch the train go by. Others seem to dislike the train, we loved it! Shakes the house a little, but the sound adds to the charm. The neighborhood is adorable and made for lovely walks with our dogs as we got to know the area. The unit does have a downstairs space, which was occupied one night of our stay. We only heard the guests when they were outside using the BBQ.
Thank you so much for making our relocation much easier and an unforgettable, charming experience. I’d say we’d be back, but we’ll live in the area instead!
We look at our guests as part of our family. You have to make allowances for extenuating circumstances and we are please that our home has worked for you and your husband. You might have a large group come to see you and you need extra room. Think of us. Good luck in your new adventures and welcome to Atlanta.
