Our impression of the property was mixed. There were good and not-so-good aspects of the property. The condo itself was decent...a split 2 bedroom, with each bedroom having it's own bathroom area (one ensuite and one immediately across from the second bedroom). The terrace/balcony was quite large and had a beautiful view of the harbour, with the dusk view being spectacular. It is only a 5 min taxi ride to the centre of Lucaya for grocery shopping or casino, so very easy to get around. But the actual condo itself was not ready for our arrival. When we opened the door to our unit, an immediate smell of damp, musty air hit us. The next impression was just as bad, when we saw all of the patio furniture in the living room, and the sliding screen door lying on it's side against the living room wall. When we went to unpack our clothes to put them away, all of the drawers had random things in them, and had to be cleaned out before they could be used. We did open up all the windows to get the musty smell out, but it took a couple of days for the smell to dissipate. And when we removed the patio furniture from the living room, we found that it was a nice, comfortable space to relax in. But there were still a few more things that needed attention...the hot water did not work in the kitchen, and neither did the dishwasher. And in the shower, even though it appeared to be quite clean, there was shampoo and soap from whomever had been there last! I had travelled with my elderly parents to this condo to get them settled in, and thank goodness I did! They were staying for a month, whereas I was only staying for the week. I spent the week getting all the little things sorted out.....all the things that should have been looked after by the owner. If we had all had just been staying for the week, it would have been an extremely disappointing trip, but because my parents were there as a long term rental, most of the issues were sorted out in that first week, so that they were reasonably comfortable for the rest of their stay. As a paying renter, I feel that our complaints were valid. We have rented properties in Europe and not had any issues whatsoever, and sincerely hope that the owners take note of our complaints. The outdoor property itself was beautifully maintained, with a nice pool and shaded areas to relax, and that was a nice respite from the situation in the condo itself.
