2 Schlafzimmer, 2 Badezimmer Wohnung, Parkplatz abseits der Straße, komplett eingerichtet, inklusive, Waschmaschine / Trockner und Kabel / WiFi. Nur wenige Schritte von der I-95, wenige Gehminuten von der Innenstadt von Wilmington, Geschäfte, Parks, lokalen Gemeinschaften, Bars, Restaurants, Nachtclubs, Golfplätze, Museen, Theater, YMCA, Cafés, und Festivals. Nur eine kurze Entfernung zu den Wilmington Riverfront, Philadelphia, Casinos, Tagesausflüge nach Lancaster, New Hope, Longwood Gardens, der Jersey Shore, NYC, Baltimore, DC und Delaware Strände. Diese Eigenschaft ist sauber, gut geführt und viele Annehmlichkeiten.
It was great! Perfect location to shops downtown and family members. We will book there our next trip.
Overall, we had a comfortable stay at Jim's condo in Wilmington. Jim was communicative and responsive when we had needs and questions, and our arrival went very smoothly. He was great! The decor is thoughtful and attractive, and the apartment itself is spacious and well laid out. It's wonderful to have two bathrooms! However, we observed some opportunities for improvement. The condo has experienced some wear-and-tear since being put into service as a short-term rental, and at this point could use some maintenance (e.g., carpet needs to be cleaned, paint needs to be touched up, faucets and wall-mounted accessories need to be tightened up). In addition, the building's common spaces could use some spiffing up (e.g. strong smell of mold in the elevator), and there were some problems with the garage door and building entrance during our stay (these were corrected quickly but happened more than once). We wish we had known in advance that the apartment is situated over a garage door, which causes vibrations and rumbling when opened and closed, and that the compressor for the central A/C is in a bedroom closet (so light sleepers should plan accordingly). But most travelers might not even notice these things. We loved strolling through Trinity Vicinity, admiring the well-loved townhouses there, and also enjoyed the Treehouse Cafe just down the block -- we highly recommend having breakfast, smoothies, and coffee there!
The property is convenient to the interstate making getting around extremely easy. We were delighted in the secure garage parking. The space was decorated tastefully and the beds were very comfortable. The owner was accessible and helpful even with our very late check-in. The recommendation of the Treehouse coffee house was excellent as was our dining experiences at Kid Shellen's, Iron Hill Brewery, and Trolley Square Oyster House. We were in town for a wedding and the nail salon Polished was accommodating and reasonably priced.
Our only recommendation would be to pay a little more attention to the cleaning (many of the decorative vases and lamps were very dusty) and the plumbing fixtures. All the faucets need to be tightened or replaced as well as the toilet paper holders. We had plenty of linens and towels except for pillow cases.
Overall I would stay here again if needed and would recommend the property to friends and relatives visiting the Wilmington area.
The 2 bedroom 2 bath condo was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had dishes, utensils, and cookware available for our use. There is also a combination washer/dryer available if you need to do your laundry. Hair dryers were also available in both bathrooms.
The condo is a few minutes away from the train station. I took the train to Washington D.C., New York City, and Philadelphia on separate days.
On my last day, my friend's brother-in-law dropped me off at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA which is a "must see" attraction. Since my friend and her relatives had to drive to New Jersey to attend a memorial service, I took a cab back to the condo after sightseeing at Longwood Gardens.
The owner was easy to work with. If you have questions, you can text him and he usually responds within a few minutes. I would recommend this condo to anyone who needs a nice, comfortable place to stay.
Yvonne, sorry I didn't get a chance to write in the guest book! We had a wonderful time at your condo. It was perfectly located for all of our holiday/family needs, and I enjoyed many quiet nights watching cheesy movies and relaxing by myself.
