Allen's property was the perfect spot for a relaxing, fun weekend and he was very responsive to any communications. We will certainly come back if we are in the area again.

Let me start by saying this was a fantastic location, and the pictures are very truthful. Plenty of good space and the lake is just footsteps away with a great loading dock.

This home was exactly what we expected from a HomeAway rental. It didn't have all the luxuries of home (kitchen not fully stocked, and old beds not very comfortable), but not many do so it wasn't really a damper on our trip. The owner even let us drop our luggage off early on our way to Fort Worth. However, the trip quickly took a turn for the worse when there were plumbing issues. This would not normally be a big deal either, but the owner was out of the country (I was not made aware) and not able to answer right away as I read on the other reviews. The smell was terrible, and we could not be in the house. When the owner finally got back to me he wanted me to take the blame for the downstairs toilets and inoperable bidet (filled with ornamental shells) backing up, and I was forced to find a plumber in the area who could come on a weekend. I also had to pay for it myself. I asked the plumber to write a description of what he told me was the problem on the receipt and I was accused by the owner of talking them into it. After I cleaned up his mess, he still threatened to keep my deposit.

In the end the owner reluctantly paid me back for the plumber and I received my full deposit back, but I would never suggest anyone do any type of business with this man. To be fair, the plumber told me several homes in the Eagle Mountain Lake area have plumbing issues. So beware and hopefully if it happens to you the homeowner will be easier to work with.

Nothing to really complain about. House was clean and stocked with necessities (i.e. pots, pans, even a bunch of towels) house is a little dated in some regard but nothing that isn't too be expected. Just added to it's character. The boat slip/dock was a little sketchy due to the lake level being down a little (currently the entrance and channel is about 3 feet (+/-) deep. Overall, nice house, nice weekend, will definitely visit again

We had a great stay at this property. The property owners were great to deal with and were quick to communicate.

I would highly recommend this spot whether it’s for a weekend or a longer stay. There’s plenty of room and the views are wonderful! Allen, the property owner, communication was top notch and I will be back in the future.
