Great time with our family over Christmas!
We stayed here with our out-of-town family of 5 adults and 3 younger kids. The grandparents enjoyed the spacious bedroom and bathroom conveniently located on the ground floor. The contact person was very responsive and accommodating. The house was clean, very quiet, spacious and comfortable and about 10 min from downtown Redmond which was lovely to explore. Loved the fireplaces, spacious kitchen and ample bathrooms. Hot tub was a plus. Three out of the four beds were great, the metal bed was squeeky and the kids ended up sleeping on the floor. The contact person was eager for feedback after our stay so they might change that going forward. Overall we would happily stay here again.
Clean but dated
Overall, the property was very clean and check in was very easy. However, for the cost of the rental, the property is dated and I don’t believe the amenities match the price. The location was very close to Carnation which is where we had an event.

Comfortable Executive Home - Delightful Neighborhood
We found this large executive style home to be well located, very clean, well maintained, and comfortably furnished. When we return to the Seattle Metro area, we will seek to rent it again.
As beautiful as the area is we were perfectly happy enjoying your beautiful home and surroundings!!
Great house, dealing with the homeowner not worth it...
Received 2 voicemails regarding issues seen on camera by the "homeowner" within first 24 hours of being in the house. One regarding a tent in the backyard, was told there was a report of a bear in the area so we couldn't have a tent, while I appreciate the concern for our safety I think a warning about a bear in the area would have been warranted regardless of the tent in the backyard. Was also told we were doing "fireworks" too close to the house...they were sparklers... After that we received another phone call that the "homeowner" reported us having more than the maximum capacity of guests...not their fault, our plans changed and we had to accommodate. The weird part was the voicemail was extremely specific regarding the number of people including children which made us feel like the "homeowner" was constantly watching the video cameras posted outside and monitoring everything. This made for a very uncomfortable stay for the remainder of our rental. We felt we were going to get a phone call at any minute for everything we did which makes it very difficult to relax. We were afraid to have any of our family over to visit for fear of being charged an additional fee, makes it hard when you are in town for a family reunion. Also makes it very difficult to want to contact anyone if we did have problems (blinds fell down in one bathroom but wasn't worth reporting because of the backlash we felt we would receive). While I understand this is a newly listed rental I feel if the "homeowner' is going to continue renting this location to short term rental he/she will need to be more flexible with their guests or maybe consider only renting to long-term renters. While I understand the need for the "homeowner" to monitor things this was extremely overboard and made us feel almost violated that they were constantly monitoring what we were doing...we spent very little time in the backyard after the 2nd voicemail which is unfortunate is it is a beautiful setting. Overall we were very respectful to the house and made sure to follow the multitude of rules that came along with it, just wish we were treated with the same level of respect back. We use vacation rentals 4/5 times a year and have never experienced something like this. I would have loved to returned to this house for our reunion each year but will not be returning and will not be recommending this location to anyone. Best of luck to the "homeowner."
Hi Brianne, We are glad that you enjoyed this beautiful house, but we are sorry that you did not feel comfortable working with the homeowner and Evolve. We let guests know before they book that there are external cameras at the property, but these are in place to ensure the security of our travelers as well as the homeowner. Guest also agree to all house rules and policies before confirming their reservation via the rental agreement. We understand that plans can change, but violating the maximum occupancy set for a vacation rental can put both guests and the homeowner at risk. The homeowner does lay out what flexibility is available for occupancy in the listing description, but your party exceeded even the flex occupancy without reaching out to the owner or guest contact first. We strive to provide comfortable and well-maintained properties for every traveler in our network, but we also expect our guests to work with us and respect the policies in place for their benefit. House is out dated. NO AIR CONDITIONING. Ants in the kitchen. 30 minutes outside of Seattle, which was not bad at all. No cereal bowls or measuring cups when we got there, but we called our contact person and she brought some the next day. When we got to the house in the evenings it was 80 degrees inside. They did have stand up fans but it was still very hot while trying to sleep.

The owner has since put in a central Air Conditioner so the scenario you encountered will not recur. Thank you for letting us know so we can make the stay even better for the next guests!
