The apartment is lovely and the patio is wonderful. We arrived by taxi and were let off further down the road at the hotel and missed the steps up. We did follow the road up, which narrows to a pedestrian pathway and found our way to the apartment. The directions from Samantha made perfect sense after we had arrived. The accessibility to the bus service was great, as well as proximity to Pergola where we found some lovely places to eat with awesome views. It was very quiet and relaxing after visits to Amalfi and other busy towns.

We spent 7 nights in this great apartment for our 25th anniversary trip. We loved the location and accommodations for many reasons. The apartment was very comfortable, roomy and had everything that we needed. The best part was the fantastic terrace and the beautiful view. We walked down to Amalfi every morning to catch buses or ferries (the bus stop is very close so it’s possible to catch the bus down to Amalfi as well). Pergola was a 15 minute walk (with minimal stairs) and had a couple of great restaurants so we ate there most nights. The driving here is pretty dangerous so we relied on buses and ferries to get around. Here are a few things that will help if you don’t have a car. To get anywhere by bus or ferry you will need to take a bus (or walk) to Amalfi and catch the appropriate bus. Tickets are sold in the Tabacchi store. To get back to the apartment take the bus to Pogerola. If you get off at the Excelsior Hotel stop, you will be at the start of the the upper path to the apartment.

Rafaela was our contact on-site and she was great! She got on the phone with our driver from the airport and gave him great directions, and was there to meet us and show us around the apartment. She was also very helpful when we had questions during our stay. The apartment is located in a very central location for exploring the Amalfi Coast, but is far enough outside of town to be EXTREMELY quiet allowing you to relax after spending the day in the crowds in the major towns. Sam, the owner, was also very helpful prior to our arrival and throughout our stay. We highly recommend this great property.

We throughly enjoyed our four night stay (mid September 2018) at this property. The biggest plus of this property was the terrace and stunning views that it afforded. The apartment was spacious enough for two and well equipped with everything you would need. To enjoy all these amenities, you must be able to walk up some 214 steps as there is no vehicle access to the property. There is a back path to the property where our driver initally dropped us off and picked us up, but requires a long walk and navigation of some steps to get to the property. Samantha and her team were able to secure a driver to pick us up and drop us off at the Naples Airport. Access to the bus stop is at the bottom of the steps with regular scheduled buses going to Amalfi. Cost was about 1.3 Euro. From Amalfi you can catch buses to Sorrento, Postiano, etc. Cost for these trips run about 3-4 Euro each way. There is a local grocery store about a 10 minute walk from the bottom of the steps. The store is closed on Sundays. Umbreto who picked us up at the airport also works at his families local restuarant, La Carcara. Food is excellent and Umbreto will pick you up at the bottom of the steps and take you back. He also delivered a pizza, beer and wine one evening. The biggest plus of this place is the owner Samantha. It is advised to setup WhatsApp on your phone so you can have direct access to Samantha. She was very polite and responsive to all our questions and needs. We highly recommend this place.

The stairs to get to the apartment were difficult to climb with a lot of luggage. Travel light and you will be just fine. Totally worth the views! The apartment had a bit of an ant problem but I was told it was being addressed right away. Overall would 100% reccomend!

Samantha's friend Raffaella and the cleaning lady met us along the back path as we were trying to find the property. The taxi had taken us as far as he could, but we had to walk the rest of the way because the road becomes too narrow. As two older women carrying luggage, it was wonderful to see these two ladies approaching us on a motor scooter, and offering to take one of our bags on the scooter. Raff walked with us the rest of the way. and helped us down the steps with the other bag. Both Samantha and Raff were very helpful with information regarding a restaurant that would pick us up and bring us back for no charge, as well as a grocery store within walking distance. Both were quick to respond to text messages if we needed any questions answered.

The apartement is as beautiful as the pictures indicate. However, the back path is steeper than we expected, and there are 221 stone steps to access the property from the front. Rather than climb the steps again, we opted to buy groceries while we were out for dinner and stayed in the next day. It was very relaxing! Our only complaint was that there were a lot of ants in the kitchen and quite a few on the terrace. Didn't find any in the sleeping area though. The property appeared to be clean and well mantained.

We would stay again. Wonderful hosts!
