Pelican point is awesome. Been there many times and will return.
Kitchen could be much better equipped. Being so far from town we like to prepare meals and had few options due to limited equipment
It was a great property, location and clean!
If you could provide paper towels and a sponge for future guests that would be awesome. We loved it!
Great beach front property!
The house was clean and in a fantastic location. Pack your own paper towels, sponge, and beach towels. Would definitely stay there again!
MAKE YOUR OWN MUSIC AT PELICAN POINT
This spot is a retreat from the world ( no disrespect toward the local folks who are lovely). Come here with your family and/or your lover or your fly rod and you will find what you are looking for; miles of deserted beach and crystal clear water and quiet. Be sure to pack in all of the provisions you think you might need because fifty miles back west is your nearest shopping in Freeport. No need to seek out some remote island way south in the Bahamas, if seclusion is what you want go no further. Rent a car at Brads at the airport, drive up the road to Solomon’s super market for all of your shopping and keep driving east. My cottage was clean with a good bed and A/C which for me is 90% of the battle. There is a local restaurant fifty feet up the road and one in McLean Town another 5 miles east. Know that they both close around 5:30. I came to the East End with a friend specifically to fly fish for bonefish. We spent 3 days wading miles of flats with great success. There are a lot of bones in these waters and if you make no mistakes in your presentation of the fly, you will be successful. Understand that this is technical unguided fishing, not easy. The management can however, hook you up with a guide if desired. I’ll be back.
