Great holiday property
This well laid out and well appointed first floor flat is very conveniently situated for all that Salcombe has to offer. The accommodation is beautifully decorated with lovely details. I loved the Susie Watson furnishings, Vi-Spring Beds and Robert Welch Cutlery, among many other nice touches. It was an easy walk to the town centre to buy croissants for breakfast (a less easy walk back!) or to look round the town. The ferry to East Portlemouth meant you could go to the beach without getting in the car and we enjoyed the ferry back from South Sands after visiting the National Trust at Overbecks. We were near enough to the Salcombe dairy to get the ice cream back without melting and could taste the Gin at the Salcombe Gin company without worrying about driving back (take ID if you're under 25). The house had all that we needed and everything was easy to find, being stored in intuitive places where you'd expect to find things. The balcony was lovely for enjoying our breakfasts in the early September sun. We didn't watch much telly, but when we did, it was pretty fancy and we could catch up with the US Open tennis matches, which we didn't expect. Beds were comfy.Sometimes in rental properties there alternative options to the bedding, such as blankets or lighter duvets stacked in wardrobes, but here there was only an (approximately) 10 tog quilt, so if you feel the heat, bring something lighter with you). Everything worked well and there was even a knife sharpener (we'd brought one with us as we're used to the state of end-of-holiday-season knives, but we didn't need it!!). Rooms were a good size and the place was well equipped. We had a lovely time and hopefully we will be back.
Lovely stay in comfortable, convenient and well-equipped apartment
Our party of 5 adults really enjoyed our week in this delightful apartment. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the living areas were bright, comfortable and spacious - we felt very at home. The beds were comfortable, and the two main bedrooms were of very good size. Bathrooms were smart, modern, and showers were easy to work and efficient, with plenty of hot water. We had some mixed weather, but loved sitting out on the balcony whenever the sun shone - great to enjoy the lovely view. Having 2 parking spaces was also a big asset. Thank you.
Perfectly placed, beiautiful view
Lovely week with gorgeous weather.
Apartment is perfectly placed for popping into Salcombe to pick up morning croissants. It is up hill on the way back but that ticked the exercise box and made the croissants tastier.
The apartment was lovely; rooms were large (apart from box room...but that was stated on details), everything clean and tidy.
Would definitely go back...thank you.
Spacious, attractive apartment with beautiful views.
Wonderful weeks holiday in this super apartment. 2 really large very comfortable bedrooms. 1 is smaller. The actual entrance to the apartment is rather unattractive. The door into the hall is in a very awkward position. Balcony is superb on fine sunny days, space to sit , eat and enjoy spectacular view.
Fantastic property so well equipped, clean and amazing views
Fabulous location. 5 mins to town and the waterfront. Loads of walks, shops restaurants and beautiful beaches.
Beautifully presented home with views across the bay. Everything was high quality from the (very) comfortable beds to the kitchen ware. New state of the art TV complete with netflix (good when baby sitting!!). The owner was extremely helpful and charming with tips about beaches with rock pools for toddlers! 2 parking spots were helpful and a short walk to the town meant that we didn't need the car too much. Would definitely recommend this place to friends.
