Delightful house in a delightful setting
The house has been recently converted to a high standard and is well equipped. There were up to five of us staying at different times without any sense of squash particularly since each bedroom has en suite facilities. The outside seating area is very pleasant. There are views from it of vineyards and of the Colli Eugenei at the foot of which the house nestles. There is quite a busy road nearby.
The house in wonderfully located for trips into the beautiful Colli Eugenei themselves (wine buying at Ca' Lustra and watching a marvellous sunset while sipping drinks and eating a meat platter at Da Teresa on Cengolina hill), or to local places such as Monselice, Este and Montagnana, all with much of interest to see, or further afield to the glories of Padua, Vicenza, Mantua and the villas of Palladio which are dotted around the area. Distances are relatively short and travel easy.
All in all we had a tremendous time.
Thank you for your review and we so enjoyed having you as a guest. You are very pleasant to work with. We would welcome you back anytime!!

Perfect stay at a quiet and romantic place
The house is well restored with lovely interior. It's perfectly located between olive trees and vineyards surrounded by the Euganean Hills. The owner gave us great tips for tasting and buying oil and vine. Apart from that the Euganean Hills are also perfect for hiking. The sea is also quite close and so is Venice. We loved it!
Thank you Thomas we are so happy you all enjoyed your stay. Thank you for your detailed review. We would happily host you again!

A wonderful week at Casa Toninello, Galzignano
My mother, brother and I spent a wonderful week in this lovely house on the edge of the Euganean Hills. Christine sent us very detailed instructions on the location, together with tips and hints to explore and make the most of the area. Francesco, Christine's cousin warmly welcomed us at the property, and was very helpful and kind in showing us around and giving us some local information.
The house was spotless and well-equipped with everything you could need for a happy and comfortable stay. Christine and her sister have obviously poured their hearts and souls into the renovation of their family home, and it is beautifully decorated with a mix of modern and vintage pieces.
The house is ideally placed for exploring the region. We visited Padua with its stunning basilica, Treviso and Vicenza (the Teatro Olimpico and Rotunda are superb). We often took the wrong roads in the Euganean Hills and enjoyed 'getting lost' amongst the vineyards and delightful villages. We also especially liked Arqua Petrarca, Este and Monselice.
The house is minutes from the shops; several small supermarkets, restaurants/bars, hairdressers, bakers etc, and everyone was extremely kind and friendly towards us, and we 'got by' with our very poor Italian!
We loved the house and the area and would really like to come back again. I would highly recommend staying here.
Thank you Christine!
