In October 2012 we spent 10 days on the Crabtree Farm in Kent. The whole property was very quite and beautiful. A perfect place to relax. All rooms were well equipped and offer a nice atmosphere. Ian and Amanda were very helpful, hospitable and friendly.
The cottage is well located in the southeast of England. From there we could explore the whole coast, many sights like castles, cathedrals etc. and of course London. The best supermarket is the newly opened Sainsbury`s in Ashford.
We can recommend this accommodation without any restrictions.
Joli cottage dans très belle région
Cottage bien équipé. Propriétaire très accueillante.
Very quiet good location
Ok for two people but would be a bit cramped for four as lounge/ kitchen not big enough
Quiet retreat in beautiful countryside
Three days of peace and quiet. Well maintained comfortable cottage with all you need for a self catering break. Bedrooms are generous in size and tastefully decorated like the rest of the cottage. Kitchen is well equipped.
Lots to see and do in the area. We were lucky with the weather so it was great to come back, after a day out and have a quiet drink in the sunny courtyard outside the kitchen lounge area.
I am glad you had a good time
This is a lovely spot to stay with views across the downs. Dog friendly with mown paths in the field. The owners Ian and Amanda are super helpful and friendly. Our golden retriever enjoyed hanging out with their dog, Bella. Handy for the Channel Tunnel, Dover Castle, Canterbury, beaches etc. A very good choice for us.
A Golden Gem in the Garden of England.
A warm welcome awaits you at Grabtree Farm . On arrival, it very soon becomes clear that these cottages and grounds are immaculately maintained by two very hard working owners who work tirelessly each hour of the day to present the very best in holiday accommodation. The cottages are extremely well decorated and furnished with quality furniture. Patio doors from the living room take you out onto a small private paved area where you look out onto immaculately maintained gardens. From your doorstep there is around 12 acres of countryside to explore and a paddock for children to play safely. Alternatively, you can wander down quite country lanes and join the Kent Downs. Off road parking is available within yards of the property. Approx 4 miles from these cottages lies the charming village of Wye where there is a bakery, takeaway and a well stocked Coop Food store. The towns of Ashford and Canterbury are also within easy traveling distance. It is extremely hard to criticise these cottages as I feel they offer exceptional value for money, however my only dislike is the fact that you need to remember to have a supply of £1 coins for the meter, however I am sure there is always a supply available from the owners if needed. All in all, I would have no hesitation in recommending these pet friendly cottages for a family holiday in the garden of England.
