perfect relaxing summer holidays
Dear Marija, we enjoyed our stay in your apartment very much. Views to Dubrovnik old town and arriving yachts were unique and fascinating. In summer Dubrovnik is very crowded with tourists, so we used the evenings to discover the town with less people inside town and it was ideal to be so close by foot only with 20 minutes walk to town.... Small super markets are near by so self catering is no problem at all - due to fully equipped kitchen :-) - if you want to. We stayed at our marvellous terrace all day with 3 minutes walks to the private beach with clear turquoise water with crabs and fish swarms our son enjoyed most when snorkelling .
The only little minus point we want to disclose is not a default of Maria or her family - but car parking in high season might become an adventure. The apartment is on a very narrow street but not one way, and croatian drivers seem to be a bit impatient, and parking is only possible approx. 200 m away, so dropping off and putting on the baggage was the only stress minutes in 7 days relaxing holiday days. Thanks Maria to be able to stay with you. And regards Ivonne
We stayed in Blue Infinity for 5 nights and wished it was 15! This wonderful apartment is very new and well done. The pictures do not do justice to the quality. The deck is an amazing space with incredible views. During our stay, there were political leaders visiting Dubrovnik. We were lucky to be staying on this side of the town as traffic was terrible due to security, but from this apartment, the old town is easily accessible by foot. It is in a quiet neighborhood that is just the right distance from the hustle and bustle. The property is gorgeous and has steps that lead down to the water - amazingly tranquil. Our hosts were friendly, incredible and willing to go out of their way to assist us with questions and transportation. We were lucky to have them help us navigate everything related to Dubrovnik as it was our first visit. I look forward to returning to this property in the near future!
Perched on the rocks overlooking a bright blue sea.
An attractive and well furnished flat with a spectacular terrace which we used as an outside sitting/dining room. As everywhere in Dubrovnik there are stone steps down from the road to negotiate, but these also ensure privacy and quiet. Marija and her family were delightful hosts, particularly in helping us organise a trip to the supermarket for supplies and airport transfers. The family all speak very good English which was so helpful. One of the five best beaches in Croatia is a 5 minute walk and 165 steps away with a stunning sea, an excellent restaurant and charming staff.
Views you don’t get tired of!
My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was a great idea. The views on the (very large) balcony are breathtaking and really gave us the wow factor we wanted!
It’s about a 15 minute walk into the old town but we enjoyed the walk given that the views were just so nice wherever we went.
We were also collected and dropped off to the airport by the owners which was a nice touch.
Thanks Marija and Danielle.
beautiful balcony/deck wtih amazing view!!!!!!
Host family was wonderful. We rented this space for the outdoor area so we could paint and sketch, and were in town when it started raining. Marija knew we had our easles and paintings on deck and came up and put inside to save them for us. Such thoughtful and kind hosts, you could not ask for a better family!
Fantastic location, great outdoor space, beautifully finished apartment.
Loved it. The views from the terrace are breathtaking! We loved sitting out at any time of day watching everything going on in the bay.....from cruise ships dropping anchor in front of the terrace, to multi million pound super yachts, to the various tourist excursion boats and countless sea kayakers. I regret not taking a pair of binoculars with me.
The recently re-furbished apartment was completely adequate for the 2 of us and is beautifully finished. The shower is one of the best we've experienced of any property we stayed in previously. We had everything we required in the kitchen.
The property owner, Marija, lives under the apartment and along with her lovely family, they were always available for any assistance we may have needed....but didnt impose on us.
The only reason I didnt give a full 5 stars had nothing to do with the apartment or the service provided by Marija and her family. We had a hire car and the only parking available was along the very narrow road above the apartment. It was a worry, as each day we approached the car we wondered if it would be knocked or scratched. Also, parking anywhere on the outskirts of the old town was very scarce or very expensive....so, unless you are planning to explore outside Dubrovnik, I wouldnt recommend getting a car. Also, the nearest supermarket/shop was a 20 minute walk away....just outside the entrance to the old town. Pleasant walk downhill but a bit tedious coming back up hill laden down with bags....though there are plenty of taxis if you want to pay the 8-10 euro fare.
Overall we loved it here. The old stone building is full of character, nearby St Jakovs beach is stunning, even the walk down the stone steps to the apartment from the road was beautiful. A big thumbs up!
