Wir waren mit dem Feriendomizil rundum zufrieden !

Die Lage gefiel uns sehr gut: es ist ruhig; das Dorf ist sehr nett und liegt direkt am Fuße der Pyrenäen; man kann direkt vom Haus aus loswandern. Es gibt ein paar kleine Läden und eine Anzahl von netten Restaurants, Cafes und Bars.

Das Haus bietet alles, was zu einem gelungenen Aufenthalt gehört; es ist geräumig; die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Es stehen sogar Fahrräder zur Verfügung. Unsere Kinder haben es geliebt, im Garten zu "chillen".

A nice house in a lovely village

Laroque is a great place to stay and this is a nice roomy house, with an excellent patio area for sitting and eating outside, and a good large sitting room. Comfortable and within easy reach of the village proper.

Perfect Location

The property was easy to find with the directions provided. Facilities at the house were good and it is very spacious. You can take a short walk to the lovely village where there are a number of restaurants available and a good atmosphere. The pace of life is great and everywhere is so clean and tidy. We ventured to the lovely beaches close by and also up into the hills where there are a number of mountain streams providing a nice setting. UK tv is limited even with the dish, but that's not usually an issue unless of course the world cup is in full swing. Bikes available, sunbeds, outdoor table and chairs for breakfast and a large BBQ were all very useful. Weather was very hot and we needed the fans in the evening. All-in-all we had a great time.

A real gem in the South of France

We stayed for a week at the end of May to enjoy a well deserved break from life in the city….

Directions provided were very easy to follow as we flew in to Barcelona, which was an easy option. We were recommended to use doyouspain.com for car hire which was by far the best giving lots of different options.

The house and facilities were great and when we arrived everything was clean, nicely presented and well equipped. Although we never got a chance to even use the TV, then again that’s a good thing. This village and villa was more much more than good, it was simply fantastic, the location is perfect for those wanting to take a short trip to the beach or adventure to one of the many wonderful scenic towns in the Alberes region.

If you want to just enjoy relaxing, reading a book and pottering around the village on one of the many walks listed in the pack it’s all there.

Down in the village there are a couple of great hidden hostelries, a choice of restaurants (The Catalan Hotel near the castle is a must visit) and two great little pizza takeaways.. We took a number of bike rides through the vineyards around the village which was a great and easy way to get some exercise in (The local wines and cheeses are addictive).

It's been a long time since I was this relaxed and I couldn't have asked for anything more, the locals are so polite even with my attempt at speaking French.

Try the drive to Collioure and head south along the coast to the Spanish border, take in the views and local food and drink.

This really is the Perfect place for that long weekend or week away with the family.

The perfect break away!

We stayed at this ideal location in Sept 2012 for one week (2 adults and 2 kids aged 6 & 2). Only an hours drive from Girona airport, this comfortable, spacious, clean and easy to access detached property is ideally located in a quiet cul-de-sac. Temperatures varied between 22-30C and many alfresco breakfasts were had while taking in the tranquil picturesque surroundings.

The property is well equipped with all necessary utensils, condiments, maps and things-to-do suggestions, cooler boxes, buckets & spades, loungers....truly all you could ever need for a hassle-free family vacation. The guest book in the house is a great way of enlightening newcomers to the area.

The local village, within walking distance, provided all the french delights with 2 boulangeries, fabulous pizza, restaurants, informative tourist office and great walking trails. The carrefour (supermarket) is only 10 mins drive and has everything you need to stock up on foodstuffs for the week....even shopping bags are provided at the property. There are many beaches to choose from with the nearest only 15 mins drive away. It is very easy to navigate your way around and a must-see (for adults and kids alike) is the Sigean Safari.

We would absolutely recommend this property and location to anyone who is looking for "the perfect break away".

Home from home. Fantastic summer break.

We stayed in this beautiful detached house in June. The weather was fabulous at this time of year and there simply was not enough time to complete all of the things we wanted to do. The house itself is spotless and equipped with every single thing that one requires in it. I can only describe it as a “home from home”.

There are superb gardens that are very private around the house and they contain lemon and orange trees. The view from the sitting room is relaxing and peaceful and the couches are very comfortable if one decides to spend a day around the house/village.

The house is a short walk from the village centre where there are numerous restaurants to eat in. There is an excellent selection and range. The food, price ranges and ambiances suit all tastes. The owner has personally reviewed the restaurants and given opinions. The village is friendly and one feels like one is absorbing the way of life. There is a little market each week where you can buy small items or fresh food and vegetables.

The area is ideal for hiking with beautiful mountain trails in the village. There are two excellent and easy to use bikes in the house with all of the relevant safety gear and there are a number of villages nearby that can be explored using the bikes or on foot. This was certainly one of the highlights. It is an area where the village way of life has been preserved and people still have time to stop and talk to you. We met a lot of local people on our explorations and the conversations were warm and friendly as well as informative.

It is a beautiful region, with amazing scenery. The house has a great selection of maps and suggested activities. There is a tourist office in the village which is very helpful. The beaches, which are a short drive away, are fantastic and this is an ideal location for anyone wanting some quality time in a gorgeous location.

There are lovely drives in an amazing area with beautiful beaches and towns to explore. Perpignan is a lovely city and well worth a trip to visit and explore. It is nice to stroll along, shop, browse and eat as well as the occasional night out.
