My family of four -- including two (2) small children ages 3 and 8 -- had a wonderful stay at this absolutely charming walkup in South Kensington. Perfect location. Walkable to 3 tube stations with only a 10 minute ride to downtown sites, great neighborhood restaurants, close to national history and science museums and Royal Albert Hall and probably 5 minute walk to large Waitrose with wonderful groceries.
The apartment itself was very large. Spacious living and dining areas. Very high end kitchen and furnishings. Tastefully decorated throughout. Plus, as an added bonus, access to a private green or garden behind the building, with lovely seating areas and small playground perfect for our two little ones.
Tanya, the owner, was warm and helpful throughout -- timely with her responses to questions prior to our booking and timely in meeting us at the property upon our arrival. Special thanks to her for accommodating our early arrival. The Noon check-in was particularly appreciated given our two younger children.
We hope to make it back again someday soon! Great great week in London.
My husband and I just stayed in this apartment, along with our two young adult sons, for one week. We were very comfortable throughout our stay, and impressed with the amount of space, the location, and the classy appearance of the apartment. The neighborhood is very safe and there are lots of restaurants and stores nearby. A few other points worth noting:
1. The owners responded promptly to any questions we had. The owner greeted us upon arrival and gave us a thorough tour of the apartment, including how to work the dishwasher and washing machine/drier, which was very helpful.
2. During our stay, we had a few unusually warm days. The apartment has four very large windows, and it was great to open them up and get some cool air and wonderful breezes in the apartment.
3. The apartment has two large beds. The beds were super comfortable. They also set up a rollaway bed for us, at our request, which was great for us. Since the living room is so large, we were able to tuck the rollaway bed into a corner of the living room, turning the apartment essentially into "three" bedrooms, and giving our sons privacy. (With the pocket door and the curtains, the living room can be completely closed off from the rest of the apartment).
4. The large windows allow for some very nice street views, and garden views.
5. The WiFi worked great, dishwasher/washing machines worked fine, plenty of hot water for showers.
5. The only caution I would give, for anyone with health or mobility issues, is that there are several steps to get from the street level into the building, and then 42 steps up a sort of spiral-type staircase, to get to the apartment itself.
In summary, we were very happy and comfortable in this beautiful apartment, whether we were sitting around the kitchen table enjoying a meal, or sitting around the large living room watching a game on the television. I was sad to leave!
We had an incredible stay in London at this flat. We stayed for one week - two adults, and two kids (ages 8 and 11) - and the flat made the trip feel like we were living in London for the week. The flat is absolutely perfectly situated - it is close to the tube and a short walk from fantastic restaurants and lovely strolls through beautiful residential neighborhoods. The accessibility to three lines made it easy to get around London very efficiently. The apartment itself was spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable. Most important, our hosts helped answer all questions, and provided assistance throughout our stay - with recommendations, helping book cars, and anything else we needed. We would highly recommend this flat to travelers, including those with families.
We spent 6 great days with my husband and our two daughters in this great apartment. We know London and the area well. As it is said in the description, the location is very practical. You are close to the tube, restaurants, a great pub and shops for groceries. The apartment itself is spacious, clean and very nicely decorated. Cherry on the cake the owners are extremely nice and helpful.
We will be back for sure.
I spent 4 days in London with my daughter and 2 granddaughters. Tanya arranged for a car to pick us up at the airport which was wonderful. The apartment was well located and very comfortable. There were great restaurants nearby and we felt very safe walking home in the evening. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting London. It was great!
Wonderful, spacious apartment, perfectly located super close to Gloucester Road tube station. Close to many shops and restaurants and pubs and easy walking distance to mid-town attractions or very easily connectable with public transport. Having multiple key sets was really appreciated---make comings and goings easy, even when our family group split up. The Home Away process was easy, the flat was just as advertised, and we will definitely come back for another fabulous London get-away!

Es ist eine kurze 7 Minuten zu Fuß zur Gloucester Road Station, die erstaunlich ist, wie es beherbergt 3 Hauptlinien (Circle, District und Piccadilly). Die Wohnung hat absolut 0 Engagement in unterirdische Geräusche und / oder Vibrationen, so wenden Sie sich in diesem Zusammenhang besorgt zu sein.
Natural History Museum, das Science Museum und das Victoria and Albert Museum sind nur ca. 12 min. zu Fuß von der Wohnung entfernt ist damit unbestreitbar die perfekte Lage für einen Besucher.
Ebenso Hyde Park und zum Einkaufen Harrods, Harvey Nichols und Sloane Square (Saatchi Galerie!) sind sehr in der Nähe sowohl zu Fuß oder eine kurze Fahrt mit dem Bus als auch der berühmten Stil und Mode-Hub Königsstraße nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt von diesem ruhigen Wohn flach.
Wenn Sie möchten, können wir auch bei der Organisation ein Taxi zu holen Sie helfen / bringt Sie zum Flughafen sollten Sie es wünschen. (es wird etwa die Hälfte von dem, was es kosten würde, um eine regelmäßige schwarzen Taxi von / zum Flughafen kosten)
