Sie können aus dem Dock-Bereich am Haus fischen; nehmen Sie einen der Kajaks für einen Ausflug in die Lagune; beobachten Sie die Seekühe, Punktrochen, Schnapper, Papageienfische und viele weitere Arten von Fischen aus dem Dock; lag am Pool in einem der vielen Liegestühlen; genießen Außen Feste am Pool, während das Kochen auf dem Grill; oder bringen Sie Ihr eigenes Boot und angeln.
Islamorada hat die beste Sportfischen und Tauchen in der Umgebung. Wenn Sie nicht bringen Sie Ihr eigenes Boot, dann können Sie chartern einen in einem der örtlichen Yachthäfen. Sie werden feststellen, dass an Land gibt es verschiedene Aktivitäten wie; Theater of the Sea, Riff, Schnorcheln, Jet-Ski und Bootsverleih, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und viele Restaurants.

The only reason I gave 1 star is because the property is spacious for a large group and the location is excellent. The property is not being maintained and has deteriorated significantly since the previous review.
We had to call the “property manager” on the second day due to an overwhelming sewage smell as the septic tank was OVERFLOWING raw sewage down the side of the house. He called to have the septic pumped out and the smell eventually went away. We also had a visit from the local Code Enforcement officer that stated we were there illegally because the house is not authorized for weekly rentals (only monthly). He said he could force us to leave but he would not and that he would be taking the issue up with the owner…AGAIN. (I see now it is listed as a monthly rental on the site.)
In addition to the items noted in the previous review from March that still are not corrected (no/low water pressure on the second floor, ceiling fans don’t work in the master, threadbare towels/linens, gas grills do not work) we also experienced clogged drains, running toilets, and minimal hot water. The gas stove in the main kitchen will not go to low/simmer on any burners and the main sub-zero refrigerator would not stay cold.
Even with all of these issues we did enjoy ourselves since most of the days are spent outside on the water and our basic necessities were being met (after the sewage issue was resolved). Upon returning home I was astonished to receive a message from the owner that they were keeping part of the security deposit, “The reason that the owner held out $100 was because the house was left in such a disarray that it took the cleaning girls 2 extra hours to clean. Additionally, the furniture was moved and was not put back in its normal position and they could not move it back; therefore, I had to call the pool guy and have him come out with one of his guys to help the girls move it back.” These are completely false statements as we did not move any furniture and the house was left in better/cleaner condition than when we arrived. We stripped linens from all beds and even had started the laundry before we left.
We had 3 families on this vacation and all of us have used VRBO/HomeAway in the past and have had great experiences. This is the first time any of us have experienced issues like this. Do not rent this property!
Our group found the ample space for all, the pool, and the dock the best parts of staying in this home. With three 'living' spaces in the house, it allowed for groups to enjoy different activities at the same time. On the down side, the two areas with a television (one area, the main area off of the kitchen, doesn't have a tv) only had seating for 4 or 5 people. The remaining folks needed to sit on floor or move chairs that really weren't all that comfy for watching tv. Wonderful options with regards to bedrooms and beds. Downside, while linens and towels were clean, most were worn or stained. At this price point, nicer linens and towels are expected. Also, while the two bathrooms on the upper level had great water pressure, the remaining three on the main level had poor water pressure, making it difficult and timely to rinse out shampoo and conditioner. The main kitchen was large and allowed for many to work together to prepare meals. We found that it did lack many typical pots, pans and utensils you would expect to find in the average kitchen. This made it difficult to prepare certain meals. We felt we were constantly making due. We also had planned to grill and found that the grills were so dirty that we couldn't bring ourselves to use them. One of the two coffee makers did not work. Large area for all to enjoy meals together was very appreciated. The screened in outdoor porch area off of the kitchen/dining room was also well used...even if tile floor and outdoor furniture was very dirty. Put it this way, bottoms of feet were black after barefoot members walked about, and we needed to sit on the beach towels we brought to ensure that our clothing would stay clean. Never was able to get ceiling fans to work in master bedroom. The property manager wasn't able to help as he said (when I called) he only deals with the pool and landscaping. So we again just went with the flow.
I find myself in a quandary with regards to submitting this review, as I am a very positive and look for the silver lining kind of gal. So while we had a wonderful time...it was due to the company we were in and not due to the accommodations we used.
If you have a big group, this place is perfect. We had 10 adults and 7 younger kids. Everyone had a blast. The pool is perfect for the kids, and you can fish right from the dock in the backyard. There are grills and a smoker on site.
My guy Joe is the property manager. Well, he claims he's not, but he knows the secrets to the place. He was a hoot.
The place is spacious, and we all felt like we had ample room to spread out.
If you are looking for a place to stay in the keys that is great for a large family, this is highly recommended.
Only drawback really is that its really far from any grocery store. The only one is in Tavernier, which is a haul if traffic is bad. (which is obviously is around Christmas) There is a CVS that isn't too far, so that generally sufficed.
This is very close to many areas to rent boats or charters (Robbies or Bud & Mary's)
I would highly recommend this house. We had a Fantastic vacation in Islamorada . House was clean and spacious plenty of room for our large group .Caught plenty of fish off the dock even had a visit from a Manatee. Couldn't ask for a better vacation.
We had a beautiful week in this home! Wonderful pool area! Everything as pictured, clean and well maintained. Three distinct sitting areas, inside allowed for quiet readers to separate themselves from conversation or TV. TV in all bedrooms would have been appreciated by some in group. Elderly parents were grateful for elevator! Disappointed only in the failure of the manatee to make an appearance. Agree with previous review that more labels on light switches would be helpful.
The house is dated, in need of some updating. There should be info on light switches as to what turns on what, very confusing. Overall, we had a nice stay there. The pool area is truly beautiful.
