Perfect city spot for a Boston exploration
Apartment had all features described, great location and great support from the owner prior to arrival / on site.
We used it as a family (two adults, one 10 year old) and use of the sofabed was no problem.
If you spend 3 to 4 days in Boston it is a terrific spot as basically everything worthwhile seeing is in walking distance. There is also a whole foods around the corner and the kitchen is fully equipped.
We loved our stay here. Location was excellent and apartment was just what we needed. Big thanks to Paul for speedy responses and accomodating attitude.
Will stay again for sure
Beautifully appointed apartment with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay in Boston
I feel so lucky to have found this gorgeous apartment to enjoy my 5 month stay in Boston. My daughter lives in the North End and I was happy to find a place nearby. Luci Bella has a great location in historic Beacon Hill and is steps away from the gold domed State Capital and the Boston Common. The apartment is beautifully designed and is so warm and welcoming, very quiet with large windows overlooking a private courtyard. There is a shared washer/dryer on first floor, very reasonably priced.
Paul has been a very kind and responsive host. He provided lots of information and recommendations. The book cases are full of a great variety of interesting books, movie videos, cookbooks and Boston site seeing info.
Corner convenience, dry cleaner, beauty shop and liquor store just a block away. I also enjoyed shopping at Whole Foods and CVS and also visited West End Library all a short walk from apartment. MGH, beautiful Charles street with boutique shops and great restaurants are close. Walking the historic streets of Beacon Hill with all the beautiful homes each door beautifully decorated for Christmas was such treat. I especially enjoyed the Christmas Open House tours and I also heard the garden tours in May are amazing.
I have loved my winter stay seeing the ice skaters at the Frog Pond as I walk through the Commons everyday and I even tried skating myself. The Christmas tree lighting in the Commons was a highlight. There is always so much going on in the park and feels safe walking through it even at night. There are several T stations nearby so you can easily travel all over the city. Faneuil Hall, the amazing restaurants in the North End, Theater District, Boston Atheneum, State street shopping are are a short walk away. I highly recommend the Improv Asylum on Hanover Street in the North End if you enjoy comedy. Another favorite for me was walking through the two parks, the Commons and the Public Garden over the bridge to the Boston Public Library and Prudential and Copley Centers. On Tuesday and Fridays from 11am-2pm , Boston Public Radio broadcasts their show with Margery Egan and Jim Browdy in the Newsroom Cafe on the first floor of the BostonPublic library. It’s a great place to grab lunch and enjoy the show. There’s usually a good crowd and lots of interesting guests.
I definitely plan to recommend Luci Bella to all my friends and family planning a visit to Boston. I have so many wonderful memories of my stay here.
Thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough review. In particular it's a wonderful description of life and activities that are possible in and around our Beacon Hill neighborhood. Wishing you the best, Paul
My new home away from home!
I stayed at Luci Bella from 10/1-11/11/18 and loved every minute! Luci Bella is a delightful, tasteful and comfortable one bedroom apartment in a quiet, very convenient location! Steps from the Ma. State House, and The Boston Commons in historic Beacon Hill, you will really "feel" Boston.
The apartment is very comfortable and has more than everything you need for your stay. The kitchen had all the essentials, pots, dishes, utensils, knives, scissors, dish towels, extra paper towel, etc., so that you could cook anything. There is even a dishwasher!
The bathroom has room for your things, plenty of nice towels, soap, shampoo, and good water pressure!
The architectural details of the building have been preserved and enhanced-the master bed is amazing! You will feel like you are in a historic building but not an old one.
Cleaning service is available and the people came on time, did a great job and I felt safe leaving my belongings.
Paul was always available to answer questions, help with my lack of t.v./internet skills and just help in general. You'll like him and feel good about staying here.
The other people in the building were very friendly, neat and quiet. The location is great because there is a Whole Foods, CVS, dry cleaner, gym, nail salon, and good restaurants down the block, but you wouldn't know it from the building.
My month+ at Luci Bella was one I will happily remember forever!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review, I'm so happy to have helped with your stay and introduction to Beacon Hill! Wishing you the best, Paul
A Very Special Property!
My daughter and I stayed here while looking at colleges in the Boston area, and we loved it! Very conveniently located, lots of amenities, and well-designed, this property made our stay much more fun!
Perfect location to explore Boston.
Very comfortable true Boston historic home with all the amenities for a great night's rest, a hot shower, and a cozy daybed to enjoy a glass of wine at twilight.
