Wonderful family rental
Really enjoyed this property with my family. Great location in a quiet neighbourhood with nearby amenities. So excellent.
Overall a very nice stay. Spotless suite. Very comfortable and bright. Immediate neighbourhood very nice, however, a few blocks down, neighbourhood gets sketchy.
Online communication excellent.
really great place
A lovely home away from home; fully appointed and tastefully furnished. It is a basement suite (but doesn't feel that way!) so a bit chilly on colder days but the fireplace is really good and warmed the living area nicely. Very centrally located on a pretty tree lined residential street. Lots of parking available on the street. Will stay here again and recommend it to others. The owner is very pleasant and responsive.
Great place, centrally located, nice neighborhood
Our family of 3 enjoyed our stay at this lovely, clean spacious apartment in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend this place for a lovely stay in Edmonton! Mindy was great and very communicative. Be sure to eat at RGE RD for a fabulous meal!
Great stay in Edmonton
Great stay in Glendora Suite. They had thought of everything that you would need and great information about what was there for you to use. Would definitely stay again.
Nicely furnished and comfortable basement suite
This apartment was great. My mom and I was staying in Edmonton for 3 nights and found this apartment to suit all of our needs. The two bedrooms allowed us sufficient privacy and some much needed silence during the night that we wouldn't get by sharing a hotel room. And it was at a fraction of the cost.
The living room and kitchen set up were great. We cooked half of our meals there and weren't lacking in supplies.
Mindy was great from the start. There was some confusion getting us the code to enter the property but by the time we arrived it was all sorted. We were a little confused about the parking situation. Most of the instructions said to park in front of the house or along the fence across the street. There was also a sticker near our front door that said to park only in front of the street and if that wasn't available, to park behind the house. We went behind the house in the alley to scope out the situation and figured the only spot to park would have blocked the driveway so we were confused. Thankfully, we were able to squeeze into a spot in front of the house each time we parked.
The only items of consideration I would make are: 1) Although I was happy to see that an iron and ironing board were provided (a rarity in the world of VRBO), the ironing board didn't have a pad under the cover and the drid lines on the board were ironed into my shirt and 2) For those with anxiety about creepy crawly things, be mindful that this is a basement suite. There will be bugs. We found 1-2 per day that we had to dispose of. This didn't bother us (since we willingly rented a basement suite), but I could expect that this would catch some off guard.
Overall - I would highly recommend this apartment.
Thank you for such a thoughful review! I appreciate your feedback and have already used it to make improvements to make our place even better. We always have ample parking on the street. During your stay, we did have a neighbour doing some renos so we allowed parking in the driveway in the back just to make sure. Also as a courtesy to our wonderful neighbours, we also try to tell our guests to park in front of our house as much as possible, but I realize all of these instructions were confusing. I now have a map and posted at the entrance to avoid any confusion for our future guests.
Also, I was quite concerned about the feedback about bugs! It is definitely NOT normal to be finding bugs every day. I have never heard anything like that for the entire 10 years we've been operating so I knew something must be up, and as it turns out, there is an explanation (thank goodness!). Wherever there is moisture, there are bugs and our suite has been dry since day one. I noticed myself while cleaning today that there were 3 dead bugs all within a few inches of each other. It occurred to me that there has been a very minor leak in the kitchen drain which is right on the other side of the wall where I found the bugs. The leak caused a small amount of moisture under the kitchen sink and the little critters were finding their way in through an air intake (which I have since screened). The leaky pipe is the root of the problem. Phew! This problem is being resolved as I write this, and oh, I almost forgot... the ironing board has a new pad :-)!
Thanks again; I hope we'll see you again in the future!
