Nur wenige Minuten von Route rt93, dennoch auf einem ruhigen Hügel gelegen, ist unser Ferienhaus der ideale Ausgangspunkt für alles, was die Weißen Berge zu bieten haben. Das Haus ist geräumig und vor kurzem renoviert. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet mit neuen Geräten ausgestattet. Das Wohnzimmer ist geräumig, aber gemütlich mit einem großen Sofa, einem Breitbild-TV und einem Kamin. Es gibt vier komfortable Schlafzimmer neben einer Etagen / Entertainment-Zimmer, wo die Kinder haben ihren eigenen Raum. Freunde und Familie mit kostenlosen Ferngespräche und Internet im ganzen Haus verbunden bleiben. Nur wenige Minuten entfernt von der Waterville Valley Ski Resort, und nur 20 Minuten. von Loon Ski Mountain, größte Skigebiet New Hamsphire ist. Wechseln in einen der drei Pools oder genießen Sie die Bergpanoramen vom Gemeindezentrum Strand und Teich, rechts auf dem Anwesen.

Property needs upkeep and has lots of mildew/bad smell

I really don't like leaving a bad review, but I don't think it's fair that other people should be as unpleasantly surprised as we were by the state of this house.

Number 1, the bottom floor, with the bunk beds and queen size bed, stinks horribly of mildew and that smell has spread throughout the house. Every time we entered, the smell hit us like a ton of bricks. There is a de-humidifier running down there, plus several febreze and other types of odor absorbers, so the owners are aware of the problem. It is very unpleasant and perhaps not healthy. It is certainly not a great place to relax. I hung up a couple of shirts in the master bedroom closet and couldn't wear them afterwards because they'd absorbed the smell.

The bathrooms and kitchens were almost clean. Sinks and toilets were ok. But, for example, the first thing I did was scrub yucky gunge off of the kitchen faucet -- it came off easily, what was it doing there? In the upstairs bathroom, the tiles on the floor needed a good clean all along the edges. Walls were scuffed, there was no furniture for clothing in the second bedroom upstairs, and the closet doors were broken. The heating in the main bedroom would not turn on.

In the main floor bathroom, the linoleum is ripped up and yucky. The lock on the front door is broken so there is just one key for the house. Everything is just run down.

Now, I wasn't going to mention this, but now I see that the visitors before us had the same problem we did with the high-speed internet. We needed this for our daughter's on-line courses. The upshot is that we spent hours troubleshooting the problem, installing a new router, and setting up security. Note that at one point, the housekeeper left the new router for us to install,, without asking us if we'd do it. The owners were out of the country, and obviously had no-one competent locally to deal with any technical problems at the property.

We did point out to the housekeeper that we were doing a very expensive job for free on our vacation, and after our stay the owner did pay us $100 for the trouble we went to. However, I am seriously annoyed now that I know this could have been taken care of before we arrived. Not cool.

I'm sorry, but I think the owners need to do some serious ripping up of that bottom floor before the house will make for a pleasant stay.

Great place to stay in the White Mountains

Our son was graduating from Plymouth State college and we wanted to enjoy a weekend in the white mountains. The house is nestled on Campton mountain and you feel completely at peace. With only a 15 min drive you are in Plymouth. During the weekend we made a fire in the fire pit, barbecued some steak and hung out on the deck. We had a great time hiking Welsh-Dickey which is a great 3hr climb with great vista's. It is only 10mins from the house. Someone also shared a secret climb to Rattlesnake mountain on Squam lake, which has a great view over the lake.

The house itself is beautifully decorated and feels light, open and spacious. There is a big couch for everyone to hang out on in the living room. Also the dinner table provides enough room for a family of 6 total. With the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms there was plenty sleeping options.

I'm an avid cyclist and love gravel road riding, so I did an awesome ride in the Campton, Plymouth and Holderness area. So not just great for hiking.

For coffee lovers there are some great coffee places in Holderness and Plymouth.

Overall we had a great and fun weekend. And a Plymouth State Alumni. Definitely recommend a stay.

Hello there,

I would like to share our experience staying at your house.

We had good times, but unfortunately, we came across few major issues. First when we tried to use Wi-Fi, we were not able to locate network available. We tried to find the router, but we didn’t find it. We also tried to call you and the cleaning lady, but she was not able to help us. This was something listed in the house description and we weren't able to take advantage of. In addition, few people noticed dirty bathrooms with dead flies and hair. There was odd smell in the kitchen and the living room couch, which was unpleasant. There were only 2 rolls of toilet paper for 10 of us. There were other short supplies - definitely not enough for a large house like this one. Lastly, the heater in the master bedroom didn’t started at all and the heater in the basement level area was locked.

The location of the house is good and it is close to attractions. The fire pit, the big outside patio table and grill were perfect for a big group. The dining room table seats 10 people and overall the house it is good size for all of us.

Never again nor would I ever recommend this property. Property needs a lot of work!

The house was very difficult to find as the GPS took us to an entirely different address. Upon arrival there were food crumbs all over the sofa. There was so much moisture in the air that the sofa was damp and there was no working AC. Two of the bunkbeds had dirty sheets on the top bunks that needed to be changed immediately and a used adult diaper was found in a dresser drawer.. Our party of 10 adults were left with only 2 rolls of toilet paper and 1/2 roll of paper towels. Cobwebs in some corners with the remains of dead insects, there was an infestation of small bugs coming out of a locked cabinet in the hallway at the top of the stairs. The toilet on the first floor, half bath, did not work at all. Both showers in the house backed up during use as the drains were clogged. Latches on some of the windows were broken, The lock on the slider is missing and it was noted in a guestbook that it has been broken for almost a decade. The umbrella on the back deck did not stay open and the yard itself was unkept. We were asked by way of a note left on the counter to put our trash in a designated spot outside so that it could be picked up on Saturday AM. We obliged and took the trash outside in a closet type room on the side of the house. We opened the door and it was piled high with the trash from the previous renter. The stench was overwhelming.

The owner was kind enough to text us upon arrival to let us know that there was a change in the policy and we now only had 5 passes available to us for the clubhouse. Our contract said we had 8. We made a trip to the clubhouse in an attempt to secure some additional passes and it was then that we found out that policy had changed several months ago but the owner simply has not updated his paperwork. They went on to explain that the renters before us tried to secure additional passes as well. Inquiring about the price of the passes we were told that it would be an additional $10 per person, per day on the weekdays and $20 per person, per day on the weekend. Before investing in the additional cost we did a tour of the clubhouse. It was then that we determined that we were not going to use the facilities anyway. The pools and the Jacuzzi were filthy. The only thing that was appealing was the pond. 4 of us made use of the tennis court.

Owner is difficult to reach. Email and VM went unanswered for over a week when inquiring about my deposit refund which was returned late thru VRBO.

If these are used, they direct right to the house. ----------- Guest Claim: Upon arrival there were food crumbs all over the sofa. There was so much moisture in the air that the sofa was damp and there was no working AC. Owner: I dispute this, the house was thoroughly cleaned prior to arrival and it is clearly stated the house does not have AC in all literature and on the website. We provide a very effective dehumidifier should it be needed at hot and humid times. ---------- Guest: Two of the bunkbeds had dirty sheets on the top bunks that needed to be changed immediately and a used adult diaper was found in a dresser drawer. Owner: The comments about cleanliness, broken drains, dirty sheets and broken toilet are all unfounded. None of the faults were observed prior to, or after the guest left. Terminix also apply preventative quarterly pest treatments to the house and in the follow-up inspection reported no infestations of bugs or anything else. ------------------ Guest Claim: Latches on some of the windows were broken, The lock on the slider is missing and it was noted in a guestbook that it has been broken for almost a decade. Owner: The lock was broken by the previous guests and has been replaced on two separate occasions. The house has only rented since 2009 and the patio door referred to as being broken for a decade was fitted in just 2011. (This comment is untrue, does not appear in the guest book and is not based on facts as the door was not fitted in the time frame mentioned). ----- Guest Claim: The owner was kind enough to text us upon arrival to let us know that there was a change in the policy and we now only had 5 passes available to us for the clubhouse. Our contract said we had 8. Owner: The pass policy is outside the control of the Owner, it is the policy of the Waterville Estates community. Welcome packs were updated to reflect the change and our contract states the passes are not part of the rental and are provided as a courtesy and subject to the rules of the community centre. This review is unrepresentative of the vast majority of our guest comments on HomeAway and VRBO. Many of these facts are misrepresentations, distortions or in some cases completely unfounded.
