I booked what I thought looked a lovely 2 bedroom apartment through Home away in La Torre, Roldan, Murcia.
From the minute I paid the full amount online there were lots of hidden costs that a not been clearly stated when I first looked. You are then dealing with a secondary company called Novasol which oversee the letting of lots of apartments on La Torre.
I cannot warn people enough how unprofessional, rude and unhelpful Novasol is. Be warned, towels and sheets are extra so is electric and water per and an extra deposit is required for plastic wrist bands for the pool.
All this is required for you to hand over to a cleaner that speaks not a word of English on the understanding that she will return the money on your last day.
When quering this by ringing Novasol based in Denmark, they knew nothing about handing over a deposit to a cleaner and would look into it, I then had to ring and email a following 8 times until this was confirmed, as they never bothered to reply. They were very rude and unhelpful, and caused such stress with booking this holiday. I was leaving in 3 days as it was a late booking and really needed this sorted.
I was given the cleaners number and told to ring 1/2 hour before I arrived. She didn't understand a word I said and we waited about 30 minutes at one of the gates not knowing which gate she was at. When I tried to speak some Spanish she just shouted " no understand"
Eventually found her then went to the apartment which stank of cat wee. I had to clean the place myself. I didn't bother to complain to Novasol because it wasn't worth the stress.
To top it all on the last day waiting to leave to catch our flight we arranged to meet the cleaner at the apartment at 8 am. 8.10 still no sign so I ring and ring no answer. Novasol do not open until 9 so can't ring them. 8.45 we are just about to leave before we miss our flights, we have keys and bands but she has our deposit. She then turns up saying sorry been in a traffic jam!!! It's Sunday morning there is no traffic.
I am sorry for such a long review but I just need to warn people how important it is not to book through Novasol, go directly through people that rent their apartments out privately, don't let this terrible time happen to you.
