Really lovely cottage
Superb cottage with excellent facilities. It was extremely welcoming to arrive on a wet and cold day to the central heating on. Views were magnificent even if it was a tortuous drive up the lane to get there. Wonderful welcome package of food and beverages. On a slight downside we felt referring to the 'ensuite' bathroom as a 'second bathroom' was a little misleading as it only has a toilet and handbasin, no shower which we would have preferred. Also a music system would have been good. But all in all a lovely place and would highly recommend.
Had a peaceful break in calm and beautiful surroundings... the area is stunning. The cottage had everything and more. The mile long private drive, although a little bumpy, was worth the drive to see the spring lambs and blossom. Would highly recommend.
MORE THAN OUTSTANDING
HIS COTTAGE IS A FINE STAY AND DELIVERS MORE THAN ADVERTISED. IT IS A QUIET PLACE TO STAY OUTSIDE OF MANY OF THE CROWDED VILLAGES. THE FURNISHINGS ARE FIRST CLASS AND WITH MORE OF THE CONVENIENCES OF HOME. THE PROPERTY IS APPROXIMATELY 1/2 MILE OFF OF THE MAIN ROAD PAST AND THRU A FARM WITH CATTLE, MANY SHEEP AND PHEASANTS. THE RIDE AND LOCATION IS WELL WORTH THE VISIT. I WOULD CONSIDER RETURNING.
Thank you Roger for your wonderful review of Oak Cottage, we're delighted to hear that you had a wonderful break in the Cotswolds. We hope you visit again soon!
One issue with blocked drains in the morning for showers but other than that spot on!
