Great stay for a family
We stayed in "La Petite Maison Mai" with two little kids (6 months and 3 years old) and had a great stay. The house was very clean and had everything what is needed. Especially the very big garden with a little playground was perfect. Jan and Paul made our stay very pleasant, they were always friendly and helpful. Although the weather wasn't good, there were lots of possibilities to see and do (Mont St. Michel, Granville, Omaha Beach). We can fully recommend this house.
Thank you so much for such a positive review we are delighted that you enjoyed your holiday here regardless of the weather.

Thank you for the lovely review Manon. You and your friend will be welcome back here anytime
Best wishes Jan & Paul
Homely and welcoming
We spent a lovely ten days at this very pretty gite. We were warmly welcomed by the owners Paul and Jan, who run two gites and a b&b on the property. The gite we stayed in was the old bakery, with the bulbous stone chimney oak beams and slate roof showing the classic character of Normandy. It was well-equipped, comfortable and nicely decorated, with firm mattresses (a must for me) and comfy seating in the lounge. Outdoors on the patio overlooking the beautiful gardens, were sunbeds, a barbecue and dining table for our al fresco suppers. There were also good outdoor toys to keep our little ones amused and tons of space for them to run around in. We found it very easy to get to and from (we took the Chunnel from Folkestone and drove down from Calais). The roads all around the area were actually a pleasure to drive on, very little traffic and beautiful countryside. It made it easy to get out and about to the coast and for a spot of sightseeing. For history buffs, we were there during the annual D-day commemorations and there was loads going on all over Normandy. We went to St Mere Eglise, which was an easy drive from La Maison May and had parachute jumps, reconstructions of army camps, re-enactors in uniforms of WW2 and loads of tanks, jeeps and other period vehicles that my little boy loved. On another day we went to Caen, which although a bit further, was not a difficult day trip. The nearby Champrepus zoo was a big hit with the whole family and was one of the best zoos we've been to. We found La Maison May a very convenient base for all our excursions. Jan and Paul could not have been better hosts, with helpful advice on local sights supermarkets and restaurants and helped us out with any minor issues we had (there weren't many). All in all I would heartily recommend this lovely place in a fantastic part of France. We certainly hope to get back there soon.
Thank you for your very kind comments. Normandy certainly has lots to offer for every age group and La Petite Maison May is the perfect holiday home to stay for you to visit all the places of interest. we look forward to your return visit in the near future.
Kind Regards Jan
