The house is comfortable, beautifully furnished, with an excellent kitchen, and would be a fine place to simply rest and enjoy the beautiful historic surroundings and the friendly town. We happen to enjoy doing our own driving, shopping, cooking etc, because we come primarily to paint, but the owner also offers to help with all of these as an additional service. He is accessible and helpful and adds greatly to the feeling of being "at home." He is also knowledgeable about antiques and where to find them in the region. If one were to opt for his additional help in transfer from the train or airport, hosting, shopping and/or cooking, it would make for another kind of splendid visit.
Comfortable and charmingly furnished, with a wonderful terrace overlooking vineyards. Gene gave us good tips for travel in the area, buying wine at the local co-op and dining. Although Seguret does not have a boulangerie or epicerie, we enjoyed a 30 minute walk to Sablet for these essentials. It's a little tricky getting there - make sure your rental car is small and you've got a good driver! We loved our evenings on the terrace toasting the sunsets with a glass of Cotes du Rhone Seguret.
If you want to truly experience the south of France and Provence, stay at this very special home in the medieval village of Seguret with breathtaking views. You will NOT be disappointed. The owner, an American living in Provence, can provide wonderful additional services to make your experience truly special. Highly recommended.
