We loved to stay in this little, romantic and cosy apartment. First of all the location is so convenient: from the airport you can reach it directly, it is around the corner from the large shopping mall "les halles" and the louvre, very central. Secondly the apartment is well equipped and we didn't miss a thing. There is really not one negative thing to say.
Thank you so much Herlem for making our stay so perfect and for the amenity/surprise upon arrival! We hope we are allowed to come back one day!
This is a great flat in the heart of Paris that my wife and I truly enjoyed.
With a great owner you can't go wrong in renting this property
My 12 year old granddaughter and I enjoyed our stay at this tiny apartment. It is tiny, so wouldn't be comfortable for more than 2, but nice, not expensive, has everything you need and well-located, a 10 minute walk to La Louvre, or Centre Pompidou and shopping. Nice neighborhood. Loved the big front window that opens out to the street. There was not address number printed outside, which threw me off when we first arrived, but Xavier came out to the street and met us, which we appreciated. Xavier was very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this apartment for 1 or 2 people
This apartment is perfect for an able bodied couple for a week or so. The apartment is only one block from Les Halles which is a major stop on the Metro subway system with connections all over town. It is only a 10 minute walk to the Louvre. There are plenty of restaurants both sit down and fast food within a block or so. In fact, the apartment is over top of a restaurant.
The apartment is one flight up with no elevator so you need to be able to carry a bag up one flight of steps. The apartment is on 2 floors with a kitchen and living room on the first floor and then a narrow spiral staircase to the second level where the bathroom and bedroom are located.
The owner was prompt and polite. He showed us the wifi and the appliances. He checked on us once during the week. Not a criticism but it could be improved by providing a list of the nearest grocery store, place to buy paper products, bakery, etc. and an email for easy connection to the owner.
Overall, we would recommend this apartment to others.
We, a retired couple, stayed at this apartment for three days to visit Paris. It is well-located just around the corner from the front of St-Eustache church and Les Halles, and walkable to many sights, including Le Louvre. It was easy to get there by RER from the airport to Chatelet-Les Halles and Xavier met us promptly and provided a welcome bottle of champagne. The entrance and stairwell are not particularly inviting, but it is only up a few steps to the apartment. Inside, the compact living/dining area and small kitchen are connected to the bedroom/bath above by a small spiral staircase. It was too awkward to take full-sized suitcases upstairs, so they stayed in the living area, occupying quite a bit of the available floor space. The bed was comfortable and the AC in the bedroom worked very well. We only used the kitchen for breakfast and the table for eating is very small - probably unsuitable for anything but breakfats. It would have been nice to have some coffee pods for the first morning. For a short visit the minimalist decor was fine, but it might seem claustrophobic for a longer visit. Lots of restaurants nearby.
It was unfortunate that Ermel decided to deduct money from my deposit. Myself and a friend stayed in the property for 4 nights, one of the reasons booking it was because it had a sleeper couch where one of us could sleep. My friend used linen kept in a cupboard to make a comfortable bed at night. I am not sure why Ermel just assumed that we would be sharing a bed. Only 2 towels in total was left out for use, not even an additional hand towel. For the bathroom fan to work the light had to be kept on, which we didn't do during the day while we were out. The towels wouldn't dry and at the end of day two we had very wet soggy towels. We each took a towel from the cupboard.
I was informed by Ermel that he deducted the money as we used extra linen, to which I politely responded that I didn't agree to his decision as 2 towels for 4 days was simply not sufficient, and also that we booked the apartment so that one of us could sleep on the sofa and therefor needed the linen. I never heard back, I just didn't receive my full deposit back.
The apartment also smelled terribly of smoke and two ashtrays were found in the window still filled with butts and ash.
Ermel was there on arrival and was very good at explaining everything and showing me around - I can't fault him on this,
The location was perfect and walking distance from restaurants and bars.
However because of the unfortunate way the return of my deposit was handled I really do not recommend this apartment.
For the cost of the apartment one would expect sufficient towels and bed linens.
