Had a lovely weekend stay in this excellent quirky cottage, the welcome package was an excellent touch, would highly recommend especially to the shorter people in this world (low beams) lol

Beautiful tranquil cottage in a wonderful setting
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was perfect for our visit. We spent 2 days walking and cycling the Cotswolds Way. It was fabulous to come back at the end of the day to enjoy a relaxing bath.
On arrival it was lovely to find in the kitchen some treats. The bottle of procecco was a welcome refreshment on our first evening. The kitchen was ideal plenty of utensils to use plus it was nice to have washing up liquid cloths etc. And a delight to have a few basics to use - salt & pepper.
We loved the terrace garden and took advantage of the beautiful weather by sitting out there for our breakfast.
The only downside was having to leave by 10 am, perhaps that could be extended out to 11?
We had a great time and hope to return again sometime soon!

A wonderful cottage in an idyllic setting
Beautifully presented, a lovely welcome hamper, clean throughout, comfortable beds, warm, and very close to all that's happening in Painswick. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All that would make it 100% perfect would have been a real fire (or log burner) rather than an electric flame effect fire

Really enjoyed the property, access was easy, it was well located and the town is beautiful!
comfortable, quiet, updated historic house
This house is located very near the churchyard which is the center of town. It is cute and cozy. The kitchen and bathroom are updated and the house provided a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The walls are stone, so in some ways it was like staying in a cave. It was very quiet and relaxing. The back yard is nice and has a lovely view from the top. Overall, the house is modernized and pleasant with the exceptions being the steep stairs and low ceilings upstairs, which are mentioned in the rental information. The house was built at a time when people were shorter on average than today and space was at a premium. In short, we hope to return again and spend more time in this lovely house.
