Schön ist einzig die Aussicht

Wir haben letztes Jahr nach Ostern ein paar Tage in dem Bootshaus verbracht. Wunderschön waren die Ausflüge in die Umgebung, sowohl an den Lago Maggiore als auch am Ortasee.
Was wir allerdings als nicht sehr angenehm empfunden haben, war der Aufenthalt in der "Villa". Nach meinem Ermessen liegen zwischen dem was wir unter "Villa" verstehen und was wir vorfanden, Welten.
Die Zufahrt zum Haus gestaltete sich z.T. weil es regnete schwierig, da sehr steil und der Weg unmittelbar in einer Wiese endet, die keinen befestigten Stellplatz vorweist (alles eingeweicht und matschig). Das Wasser, das aus der Dusche kam, war rostig und roch entsprechend, auch noch nach drei Tagen. Die Küche ist unzumutbar klein und kaum geeignet, darin zu arbeiten. Die Atmoshäre im Haus empfanden wir als äuserst trist und nüchtern, keine Vorhänge, Bilder, Teppiche oder dergleichen. Wer Wert auf Behaglichkeit liegt, ist hier fehl am Platz. Nur zu empfehlen für die warme Jahreszeit. Allerdings ist das Preis-Leistungs-Ver-hältnis zu unausgewogen. Wir hatten Geld in dem Haus liegen lassen, Vermieter wollte es uns schicken, ist leider bis heute nicht passiert.
Vermieter-Kommentar: We are very sorry you didn't enjoy your stay at La Darsena. But why waiting one year before telling all this instead of telling us while you were here? We had no idea! After 15 years of renting holiday properties we are always ready to do everything to help our guests and to make their holidays more pleasant as possible.
You could have told us about the water problem! That was not our fault but we would have certainly called the plumber or we would have offered you another accommodation or we would have given your money back if you hadn't like any of our solutions.
I am sorry you were unlucky with the weather! The road has been fixed and in the garden in front of the house there are now small stones so it is easier to park and to walk to the main door.
When we receive an enquiry we always give a detailed description and the link to our website where you may find plenty of pictures. This means that before booking you saw exactly the outside and the inside of the house. Kitchen is small but fully equipped for holidaymakers.
We wrote each other some emails about the coins in Swiss Francs that you forget at the house. I think you remember they are all small coins and their value was about 15 euros. I checked with the Italian post office and the fees to send a heavy small pack with all those coins were pretty much the same as the value of the coins! After this information I had no more answer from you! Of course your coins are still here because we never had the intention to spend or to keep them!
About rate-quality: your rate was a very cheap rate considering it was Easter time...after 15 years experience we think it was a good rate for such a house.
As you may realize reading so many reviews from happy guests, La Darsena is a delightful holiday home and we are glad to see lots of guests who are very happy to come back!
