Penmon is a charming 300 year old farmhouse located in the tranquil village of Gharb on the west side of the island of Gozo.
The house was renovated with family in mind serving as a getaway from the hectic city life for its current owners. The Pool is a uniquely designed rock formation lagoon type pool with waterfall surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden.
Penmon has been immaculately converted and beautifully furnished with Indian Hardwood furniture and leather sofas.
The swimming pool, located at the back of the house is a large 33 feet x 22 feet south facing haven, with a spacious charcoal barbecue and sunbathing area, sun loungers plus outside shower facility. And for that complete Mediterranean feeling, an open gazebo overlooks the pool for outside catering, with a stone table with ceramic tiles top.

Our Farmhouse

Our farmhouse offers traditional elegance with a contemporary finish, class and comfort that you would hardly expect in a Gozitan farmhouse.
With our unique design, modern en suite facilities in all of our bedrooms, two living areas and a conservatory, you're sure to enjoy your stay with us whether you're here on business or for some fun. Even more, all of our bedrooms include cooling and heating Air conditioning so you can ensure that you'll sleep comfortably during the hot summer nights or the cold winter nights.

Each room has been tailored to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.
We hope that our attention to detail shines through each and every moment of your stay.

Penmon consists of 4 bedrooms, 3 of which are double beds whilst the 4th and largest bedroom consists of 3 single beds and a bunkbed.
There are 2 living rooms with Flat screen TV's connected via cable with a long list of TV channels (140) which include movies and Sports channels suitable for everyone's needs, an open plan Conservatory, an Italian style U shaped fitted Kitchen with many facilities and a Dining room.
Modern en suite facilities are found in each bedroom.
For outdoor living, we have large sun terraces and al fresco dining by the pool.
Wi-Fi is free with the latest Fibre Optic connection and TP link DECO extender system for whole coverage of our house.

Our Pool Area

With a unique large lagoon type pool and Al fresco shaded and waterproofed outside dining area including a large charcoal BBQ, you are sure to find our external facilities more than welcome.

If relaxing is more your style, then this is the place to be, spending most of your day unwinding and relaxing in pure bliss.

Tolle Außenanlagen, geräumig, ruhige Gegend.

Freundlicher Empfang am Flughafen. Der Besitzer gab uns Tipps und half sogar beim Mietwagen. Zum Haus sind es ca.90 min mit dem Auto (Fähre eingerechnet). Das Haus hat 4 Zimmer (2 im unteren Bereich und 2 oben) jedes mit einem separaten Bad. Das Haus ist geräumig und bietet Platz. 3 TV und 2 große Kühlschränke. Die Außenanlage ist schön. MANKO: es hat reingeregnet und den Boden sehr rutschig gemacht und Sachen die am Fenster waren beschädigt. Vermieter hat sich dazu leider nicht geäußert. Wenn es trocken ist, dann ist das Haus zu empfehlen. Sonst eher nicht.

very friendlycontact, overall quiet, needs to be cleaner

The owner Mark is one of the friendliest and accommodating lessors I ever had contact to. Really wanted to mention this at the beginning! Regarding the house itself, overall we were ok with it, but actually we expected much more. Furniture etc. are a little bit older, but ok. No dishwasher, but this was also ok for us. As it is an old house, there is still a lot of humidity inside so you can smell some moldiness (can also see it in some corners), which they tried to cover with some air fresheners. If you do not like the dominate smell of perfume and things like that, you will not like this. Worst thing for us: in total it could have been cleaner. Sorry to say that, but e.g. the Utensils (fork, knife etc.) were not proper checked, so still some leftover of previous visitors stick to it. Some cockroaches (the big ones...) frequently were found on the floor close to the entrance door and in the two bedrooms next to the entrance door. They were more or less alive, I think the door was prepared with poison or something else, but due to the big cleft at the door, they easily came in. Glad we used the bedroom in the upper floor as I'm really sure otherwise my girlfriend would not have accepted this. Besides that, we were told that the pool guy only comes once a week (Monday) to clean the pool. So if it is windy, you will soon have a lot of sand and leafs in the pool. Of course you can clean it on your own (were told to do so by the owner, when we asked for the pool boy), but if it is mentioned on the Homepage that your rental includes a pool boy, you just expect something else. Was in the end ok for us, but it is more regarding expectation management. So this Information is just for those, expecting the same like we did. So overall I think we will not hire this house again, given to the mentioned facts above.
