This apartment was excellent and in a wonderful location. We were able to walk to so many great spots in El Born/Old Town, Las Ramblas, Barcelonetta. We loved all of the narrow streets/alley ways and character. We look down onto the street and saw the local people carrying on with their days and the charm of Barcelona. The apartment is close to the metro which is so easy to navigate. It is also new and very clean with everything you could need for your stay. Karen and Carlos sent us information that was helpful to find the apartment and Guillermo, who met us at the apartment, was a world of help for us. He even walked us to the metro and local restaurants and locations that were important for our stay. We would highly recommend this apartment to our friends and family. Thank you for a wonderful experience! We will definitely be back!

Spotlessly clean, gourmet kitchen, great balcony with view of street, exactly as described. Quiet at night. Walking distance to museums and historic attractions in city center, many excellent restaurants nearby. Carlos and Karen provided absolutely first-class help for our entire stay, going over and above any owners we have ever met to make sure we had a wonderful stay on our first visit to Barcelona. We would recommend this lovely apartment to anyone who doesn't mind climbing a few stairs!

Firstly, reality matched the description. Portal Nou apartment has got everything - as someone said, it was a home away from home. As it is also said by previous guests, the location is the main asset, being in walking distance to nearly all of the sights and the beach. The neighbourhood in itself is really nice, with little shops to buy anything you may need. It is in the Born area, where there are many good restaurants. Mr Carlos and his employee Guillermo are very friendly and professional and we found dealing with them extremely pleasant. Finally, I would recommend this apartment to all those who want to discover the Old Town of Barcelona, its beach and the Gaudi buildings in a pleasant and safe apartment.

This flat is centrally located and a home away from home. Looking out onto a typical street in the Old Town, immersed us in the experience while providing every modern luxury including a fully appointed kitchen, a comfortable and spacious livingroom and bedroom. We stayed in 4 different apartments while in different cities in Europe and this was by far the best, both in accommodation and the proffessionalism of all business transactions

VERY CENTRAL TO ALL AMENITIES, LOVELY APARTMENT REALLY CLEAN. PLENTY OF DVD CHOICES IF REQUIRED. LOVELY OWNERS VERY HELPFUL, JUST BE WARNED UP 4 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS. TORRES RESTAURANT CLOSEBY VERY REASONABLY PRICED.

Great apartment, fantastic location, all amenities included. very comfortable home. It exceeds all expectations with its generous array of household appliances and very clean interior. A rational organisation of space. In a beautiful position for going out and comfortably reaching most of the sights of the city on foot. The owner is very helpful and friendly

This property was extremely well located,a cosy local inhabitated area but close enough to the main tourist attractions. There are several fantastic small cute restaurants & bars on the doorstep,as well as grocery store & bakery too, which we frequented as they were reasonably priced and good quality. In addition the Arc de Triomf metro station was just over 5 min walk, which made it very easy to get to other areas. The owners were very professional, but also extremely welcoming,they all spoke great English, and were very informative, particularly with directions from the airport, it was so easy! The stair well up to the property is a bit narrow,which can make it difficult carrying large bags up,but this would not stop me from staying there again!

We could walk or catch the Metro to everywhere.. The kitchen was well fitted out, as was the bathroom. We utilized the washer and lines and all appliances worked well. I´m very pleased with our experience in this apartment.It´s the ideal location to discover the city. Very quiet despite its central location thanks to the lay out of the apartment. You have the Ramblas and the beach closeby and plenty of monuments and sights nearby. The apartment is beautifully decorated and comes fully fitted throughout; Definetely it won´t be our last time there' Mr. Hans Maack
