We return each year to La Scheggia having fallen in love with the house and with eastern Tuscany some time ago - our children have had some of the happiest holdays of their summers there.

The villa is spacious and very characterful, full of interesting and unusual artworks, and we particularly enjoy eating the delicious local food in the warm Tuscan sunshine, children and adults all gathered around the table after a morning by the pool or a day in nearby Arezzo or Anghiari.

It is slightly off the beaten track, so not so many tourists around, and yet there is a host of marvellous things to see and do within an hour's drive from the house, particularly for artlovers.

Our hosts make us feel very welcome, and help in any way they can to make our stay a happy one..we are looking forward already to next year!
