Lovely house! We were a party of four (my parents and us) staying for a week early januari in this house which exceeded our expectations.
The owner was very helpful and gave us plenty of useful information. A joy to deal with him.
The house, very welcoming and furnished with taste, was cozy, comfortable and very clean . Well equipied it had everything we needed for our stay .
The location is just ideal, the market is a nice 5 to 10 min walk passed lovely buildings and the canal, plenty of restaurants nearby, bakeries - butchers - small supermarket within short distance, this while the house is in a quiet part of the very center of Bruges.

Overal, we had a splendid time.
We plan to go back in Summer this year

When we arrived at this house we were pleased - it was well equipped and spacious. The description says the house is "pleasant luxury of modern comfort" - which I think is a bit of a stretch. We thought "basic and comfortable" would be more fitting.

It's well located and is close to the most divine bakery and the supermarket Smatch.

On arrival we were greeted by the owner who was very friendly and gave us plenty of useful information on restaurants, attractions and parking.

2 out of the 3 bedrooms are adjoined by a staircase, which is fine for parents and kids, but not if there's x3 couples in total staying in the house.

What really lets this house down is the (only) bathroom and poor plumbing. The shower is handheld, so you have to sit in the bath while showering. In addition, we discovered that the the hot water only comes on in 3 minute bursts so you have - 3 minutes of hot water, 3 minutes of cold water, 3 mins hot, 3 mins cold - making it very diificult to shower properly, even if you're really quick! We all ended up taking baths which made the process of getting ready and out exploring Bruges a bit lengthy.

In my opinion, being able to bathe is a basic requirement! So, I will not be recommending this property to family and friends.

I would recommend Bruges though - beautiful and plenty to do.

Our stay in Bruges was fantastic, and Acadia was the perfect home base for our group of 5. The place was very clean and well-maintained. There was more room than I expected, probably enough to sleep 6-7. The decor perfectly fit the home, and the furniture (including beds) was comfortable. Checking in and out was a breeze, and the owner responded to all my correspondence very quickly. Bruges is a great town for exploring...we discovered something new on every street. I would highly recommend staying at Acadia on your next trip to Bruges!

It was great for our New Year in Bruges! Close to the centre and all the must see's and 5 minutes from the supermarket!

A lovely house, clean and comfortable with all amenities of home, and in a quiet part of town, just 5 minutes walk from the city centre. No on street parking, but with ample only a short walk away. The owner was very friendly and helpful.
I'd certainly recommend this property to friends.
